OK, (a) it is then! (My post apparently went up right after she posted her response.) What kind of person would spend her time making up totally fake, spurious issues in order to trash an organization she obviously doesn't belong to anyway? A nutcase and/or bigot. Or both, I'm guessing. |

But yes, her blinkered thought process and apparent obsession (starting a thread on such a fake topic, just to stir up hate) are clearly those of a bigot. |

Oh, let's not let this thread die yet. It's so much fun to shoot ducks in a barrel! OP, perhaps you have forgotten that Protestant institutions have their share of pedophiles, too (see Sidwell, Beauvoir). Plenty of non-Catholics oppose abortion. And as for Methodists supporting dictators...well, Obama claimed to be a Protestant last time I checked, and those chummy pictures of him and Chavez come to mind.... In short, get a grip! Are you proud of yourself, OP? to 13:55: I'm all for ganging up on bigots and morons and will support you in this. . Good point about the pedophiles at the top protestant schools that OP somehow failed to mention. And to add to your list: all the catholics who are pro-choice. |

| Left-wing Jew here who has posted several times on this thread about the good works of Catholic organizations with the poor. I believe that Catholic Charities is the largest organization in the country serving the poor. OP is a bigot, plain and simple. |

Are you comparing one sex scandal at Sidwell to the hundreds of thousands of priests that have abused children all around the world? I just heard of a story of some men who grew up many years ago in an orphanage in Malta and they were abused by a priest that got away with it, they just got an audience with the pope. You really don't want to pick this fight with me. Your church's history is very sordid and you know it.
Why am I a bigot? Because I call out the hypocrisy of the organization? So if someone doesn't agree with you they're a bigot? I knew the 2000 Gonzaga, and Paul VI mothers from the burbs were going to attack me, and I probably shouldn't have posted this thread. Jeez |

HIghly urban, liberal, Jew here and yes, you are a bigot. You are (1) wrong about the service of Catholic institutions to the poor, and (2) are a bigot to blame all Catholics for the sins of their church. How about the nuns who never hurt anyone who are out there doing far, far more for the poor than you ever will?
No one is going to disagree with you here about the sordid history of the Catholic Church with pedophilia. And yet no one here agrees with your ridiculous assertions about Catholic schools and the poor. |

The definition of a bigot is tarring all believers with the sins of a minority. Would you say that because Sarah Palin is stupid, all Republicans are stupid?
