Balogna. I don't believe this garbage.

One-hundred seventy Democrats voted against the bill. The ranking Democratic member on the House Judiciary Committee, Rep. Jerry Nadler of New York, criticized the legislation on the floor, accusing Republicans of “exploiting her death for a partisan stunt” and “throwing together legislation to target immigrants in an election year.”

Laken and her family mean nothing to democrats.

Well, the families of Sandy Hook, Parkland, and Uvalde might be available to talk about how the murder of their children has meant nothing to the GOP.

The people who killed the children at those schools were legally in the United States. They were born here. How was the GOP supposed to deport people born in America before they committed crimes?

Please explain what authority the GOP would arrest these 3 people with, who the GOP would send to take these people into custody pre-shooting, where the GOP jail is located, and where the GOP would deport 3 American citizens to?

Those people all used guns democrats are trying to ban. Republicans disagree and children die

Why do you think that people intent on mass-murdering children will adhere to a gun ban?

Because it would be against the law for them to get a gun in the first place, dummy. Ergo, no mass shooting, because trying to obtain a gun would be illegal in itself.

Are you always this dim?

So criminals will follow the law in your world? It's against the law to murder innocent people but they broke that law. I imagine banning gun sales isn't going to stop them either.

Speaking to millions of Americans

in his annual State of the Union address the president twice called her 'Lincoln' as he held up a pin bearing her name, which had been given to him by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.

But when he talked about a bill to increase border security, that was killed by Republicans after Trump came out against it, GOP lawmakers booed him.

Greene, who was wearing a shirt with Riley's name, then shouted at Biden 'say her name.'

'Lincoln, Lincoln Riley,' Biden said, holding up the pin. 'An innocent young woman who was killed by an illegal.

'But how many of thousands of people being killed by legals? To her parents I say my heart goes out to you, having lost children myself, I understand,' he said.

The homicide conviction rate for illegal immigrants was 2.4 per 100,000 illegal immigrants in 2015, which is lower than the homicide conviction rate of 2.8 per 100,000 for native‐born Americans. Legal immigrants still have the lowest homicide conviction rate at 1.1 per 100,000 legal immigrants. Those rates are similar across the years for which data are available.

This is a decade old. And if you live anywhere near a "sanctuary" city/county you know it is straight up bullshot.

No kidding.
Plus, there is the fact that many - if not most - localities do not break out crime statistics by documentation status. So, it is near impossible to make that claim.
This is from 2020:
"Texas is the only state that records and keeps the immigration statuses of those entering the criminal justice system. Texas gathers this information because its runs arrestee biometric information through Department of Homeland Security (DHS) databases that identify illegal immigrants. Unlike other states, Texas DPS keeps the results of these DHS checks that then allows a more direct look at immigrant criminality by immigration status."
https://www.cato.org/blog/new-research-illegal-immigration-crime-0

"Calculating group-specific crime rates is straightforward: It is the number of arrests within a particular group divided by its population (expressed per 100,000). In the case of undocumented immigrants, however, for years we lacked reliable estimates for both the numerator and the denominator required for such calculations. Regarding the number of undocumented immigrants (the denominator), data quality has improved in recent years as the Center for Migration Studies and the Pew Research Center now produce annual state- and national-level estimates of the undocumented population, ranging from 10.5 to 10.7 million in 2017 (1, 7).* Data on undocumented criminality (the numerator), however, have actually gotten worse over time. Despite the increasing centrality of local police in immigration enforcement (9), information on immigration status is remarkably scarce in most crime databases. Among the most widely utilized crime data sources, neither the Uniform Crime Reports, the National Crime Victimization Survey, nor the National Incident-Based Reporting System record information about immigration status. In addition, California stopped reporting the number of noncitizens in their custody to the Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) in 2013 and in 2017 became a “sanctuary state” by limiting information sharing between local criminal justice officials and federal immigration authorities (10). In 2016, they along with Nevada, New Hampshire, North Dakota, and Oregon did not report information on citizenship in their prison populations, and the BJS speculates that other states “likely provided undercounts”

Is it illegal? The VA Tech shooter was not a citizen and legally purchased two 9mms and lots of ammunition.

She had a great career path going, but then a man pretending to be a woman appeared on the scene.
Call her an activist. She is a great voice for women.

Has anyone noted that she was murdered by a Venezuelan?

And that Trump granted amnesty to Venezuelans on his last day in office?

Just saying, this guy would have been perfectly fine in the US under Trump.

Data that is less than a decade old and the trend still hold and holds true today.

If I were Venezuela, I'd be flying planes full of all of my criminals and worst degenerates to the US and tell them all just to say asylum. Then refuse to take any back. What's the US gonna do about it? Theyet everyone in anyway. That's way I wouldn't have to spend any money jailing human scum. Just ship them to the US.

Hmmm what a mystery- people who are hiding from authorities don’t get arrested as much as people who don’t hide from authorities.

The US needs to deport them back to Mexico. While Venezuela won't take them from the US, they will take them from Mexico.
If we had a commander in chief who had a spine and would tell the Mexican president that he needs to deal with these people since they DID come through his country, we could have a solution.

Amnesty? No. You don't know what the hell you are talking about.

President Donald Trump on Tuesday announced he will offer Venezuelan exiles protection from deportation, a move he has considered for years but refused to do until his last full day in office.

Trump is using the little-known Deferred Enforced Departure program, or DED, to offer temporary legal status to Venezuelans fleeing the humanitarian crisis brought on by Nicolás Maduro’s regime. DED, similar to Temporary Protected Status or TPS, protects recipients from deportation and allows them to get work permits. However, it is granted directly by the president instead of the Department of Homeland Security.

“The deteriorative condition within Venezuela, which presents an ongoing national security threat to the safety and well-being of the American people, warrants the deferral of the removal of Venezuelan nationals who are present in the United States,” Trump said in a memorandum released Tuesday.
Based on Trump’s memo, the U.S. will defer for 18 months the removal of certain Venezuelan nationals present in the U.S. on Jan. 20. It also allows those Venezuelans to work during that period of time.
