How do you feel about tall and skinny men?

True for excessively tall, but not 6 feet!

I'd compare an extremely muscular man to a woman who has large breast implants and a huge ass and is very much an hourglass figure. Yes, that can be attractive in a way, but lots of men probably prefer the effortlessness of the naturally slim woman. For men, excess fat is almost always a huge negative- it serves literally no benefit. It's not like women want bigger breasts, hips or butts on men. So keep lean and dont even worry about it

For lots of men, some excess fat is a positive. For a fair fraction of men, even a lot of excess fat isn’t a huge negative. Especially when it’s distributed in an hourglass figure, then there’s no practical maximum excess weight!

Where are these men? I have avoided dating sites because I assume they want thin and fit.

I am 5’4”, 170 lbs.

But that's my damage, not yours.

A LOT of men love short and curvy women- click on whoever strikes your fancy on the apps with confidence.

Sure for a roll in the bed but long term? No I don't think so.

Why is it so hard to believe that some men have their own preferences. I’m already married and was pretty popular before I got married so someone definitely wanted me long term. But this seems like a solvable problem. Don’t give someone a roll in the hay until you know they have feelings for you.

I lift weight regularly, very athletic (former fencer). I got married very young at 21 to my high school sweetheart and she is the only women I have ever been with. So I have never had to really worry about how I look but now that I am single and looking I am insecure about this. Yes I know as a man I should be confident etc but I am also a human conscious of my own insecurities.

So how do you ladies feel about tall and skinny but otherwise good looking guy?

OP - eat an extra 300-500 calories per day and have a trainer set up a lifting plan for you. You can put on 20+ lbs of muscle in a year. You’d be surprised how much women like a who’s got muscles (assuming he’s not a dbag, of course). And, even if he is a dbag they’ll often still sleep with him while lamenting what a dbag he is! Lol.

Tall skinny / lean men are my weakness. My favorite. You will do extremely well. Women care about height and anything six feet or over you are golden.

OP don’t worry so much. Most American men your age are straight up obese, so all these replies nit picking your muscle mass are ridiculous, as if women are out here trying to choose between Thor and Wolverine. Delusional.

PP. I’m not looking at the moment but absolutely dating sites/apps. I’m trim and fit but at my age have no expectation that women should be trim and fit to be a good person and a good partner. With only two numbers and a few words to go on, I’d definitely swipe right on you!

Intelligence and humor are more important than physique. And tall and thin much better than fat. In my opinion.

Women like tall guys in general, and a lot of women won't mind if you are lean, Especially if you are in good shape and not a total string bean.

I'm a daily exerciser and in good shape, and wish I could meet a guy who's in good shape! The dude I'm dating is fat and pretty sedentary and I am not attracted to his body. He's nice to me, though, and a lot of guy aren't nice, so it's hard to give him up.

Not PP but have similar build. I lift weights 5 days/wk. I tried upping my calories like you say, and all that happened was I grew a big gut. So maybe it's not so easy. I would love to add 15 lb of muscle but if my choice is skinny and trim vs. skinny and gut, I'm sticking with skinny and trim.

You weigh less than me as a 5'4" female fencer in pretty much every stage of my life.

My husband is 6’2” and 155 so similar build. I get the ick when he’s skinnier but at 155 he has healthy muscle, broad shoulders, goes to gym 2-3x weekly and swims. I think you’ll be fine.

Not my type but I’m sure plenty of women like it.
