I asked out a 19/20 year old girl today who I thought was a grown adult woman

OP here. I mentioned the baseball cap & sunglasses because they obscured her hair and face. Was hard to see if her skin and hair were aged & how much.

You described her entire outfit. Also why describe your “leafy” neighborhood? Are you outsourcing your troll posts to ChatGPT?

He’s trying to say that he’s rich so therefore can’t be a creep.

There’s nothing weird about describing the outfit.

Sure there is. It’s f-ing weird, and it’s part of why I think OP is a troll.

When I was 13-16 I was mistaken for a college student all the time. 20+ dudes hit on me all.the.time.

I understand 19 to 30 is different but I can see it happening.

Literally the only thing this 40+ year old man knew about this girl was that she’s in amazing shape. That’s all he cared about. That should terrify you. It’s sick.

Especially the part where he has been ogling her working out and then basically stalked her to “make his move.” This is no different from hitting on women in the gym. Just, no.

Men - you can try to pick up women in settings where that’s socially acceptable like a bar or maybe a cafe.

Many women on here have written it's not OK to flirt with someone in a cafe. They're just sitting there trying to enjoy their coffee or get some work done.

So that leaves... a bar.. as the only place it's socialy acceptable to pick someone up?

Yeah, men have definitely never done anything to make women afraid of them

Gotta be the teachers

It’s sick that a man would initially be attracted to a woman based on her looks. Just repulsive.

Do you hear yourself?

It’s normal.

2. You really, really mistook a 19 y/o for a 30 y/o? Or did you think early 20s and trying to make yourself look better?

3. How good shape you thought she was in and her shorts and tank top description make this a super creepy post.

4. You come across creepy in your post, you’re worried about being creepy, OP you know the expression about things that look like ducks…

Honestly, +1 to all of this. I find it hard to believe that you thought she was 30+. I also think that if she had been receptive, instead of shutting you down, you would have gone for it.

You chased down a teenager while she was exercising and hit on her. She handled it well, but you need to not do that.

Not hard at all if someone is wearing sunglasses & a hat. You basically can’t see their hair or face.

Protip: if you literally cannot see a woman’s face to discern her age and have zero pieces of information to know her life stage, do not ask her out. That’s asking out a random stranger and it is creepy.

Maybe that was the standard when you were young but it isn’t anymore. Big age gaps are now considered inappropriate irrespective of the age of majority.

It should be.

But it isn’t. You sound like a dinosaur complaining you can’t use slurs anymore.

I cannot help you if you don’t have social skills. If you don’t have the social skills to tell when a woman is open for conversation and interested in a date, then yes, limit it to the bars.

Nobody is faulting him for being attracted to her. It’s that he was basically spying on her for months then rolled up behind her on a walk and asked her out when she had barely said two words. His h0rniness made him believe that was ok. Creepy.

I don’t understand how you could think she was in her 30s
