if you've never fasted before it can be rough, but I've done 3 day fasts (not to drop 5 lbs though). Anyway, take two days to wean off carb, eat just veggies, protein, and a ton of water with extra salt and, if you can get some potassium (nusalt works) and magnesium glycinate. Then over 3 days you can try to stick to water, coffee, broth, miso soup and make sure to get those electolytes in (ideally potassium, salt, and magnesium). If you start to feel faint, clammy, dizzy, stop immediately and eat half a banana. If you can't full fast, have a few eggs a day, some avocado too.
Oh, also, you cant eat a big meal right away, you need to ease back into it slowly or you will get the runs. another altenative is to to Prolon. |
OP again - 4.5lbs as of this morning. Protein and salad/veggies seems to do the trick. Drinking lots of water (and my black coffee) and I don’t feel like I’m starving myself because I’m still eating. Will probably have to reset again after this weekend, but at least I know I can do it and hopefully it will help me cut back on the carbs/sugar/processed foods longer term. |

Dr. Kelly Anne 5 day reset cleanse. Tastes like crap but it worked for me. I even cheated with carrot sticks and guacamole and no sugar added peanut butter and pretzels. But it still worked. The stuff she has you drink were not good though. I also went back to normal eating and still kept the weight off somehow. I was surprised and not sure why that happened. Anyway I only did the cleanse to lose 5 lbs quickly (as I had 5 lbs to lose and wasn’t doing it for weeks and wanted to try something more drastic just to get to my number). |
