This. Shut them all down. Take away their tax exempt status. When they are ground zero for heinous criminal acts, they are a threat to society.

I am so disgusted by this story. I had not heard it before. My heart breaks for those parents and children. I am so angry.

I agree that in this day and age it is ridiculous to have tax exempt status for religious institutions.

Thank you for this link. It’s truly mind boggling that the school is protecting a teacher pediphile considering the mountain of evidence against him.

The community is grateful to all the families who are relentlessly pursuing justice for their children. These families deserve support from us all. Unless your child was sexually assaulted, it’s impossible to know the extent of their pain. That pain never goes away.

What happened to Silverman? Where is he now?

I saw somewhere he lives in an apartment in Bethesda. His mother has an art gallery so maybe he works for her. But no one knows if he’s still assaulting children. He needs to be held accountable, because it would be unconscionable if he still has access to little children. His picture should be out there to alert parents. Otherwise, it’s fairly easy to volunteer “to help” almost anywhere.

Don't trust religious daycares, centers. They don't get inspections, don't pay taxes. Nobody is inspecting to check if their workers have no criminal history, etc.

The Vatican and most religions pardons pedophile priests if they are really sorry and they can keep being next to little children in a different state or to a poor third world country. It's so disgusting

^ Too bad state institutions are no better at protecting children from sex assault by school teachers.

Other places are less dangerous than religious daycares without any specialists inspecting that place and staff

Which daycare has zero inspections?

Zero.

In Maryland providers are required to have staff do annual trainings and collect hours . That Jewish center had staff with no training about early child development at all. Why?

Because they don't have inspections. Religious daycares, centers don't pay taxes, they don't get a specialist inspector to check the place and the staff trainings

Is there a link that says that?
