I am so sad to hear that there is no trial. I understand the ambivalence of the parents: the best you can hope for is that maybe something that happened when their child was 2 years old would be forgotten by the child, and to have to go through a trial would be devastating. It is so unjust that there are no criminal charges filed, that there is no punishment for DJ Schneider Jensen or Jordan Silverman, and the only person going to jail is the attorney representing the families of the abused children (not that he shouldn't). I have no doubt that abuse has occurred, as someone with background in child development. I think there is a problem with the law and how it processes crimes against children.
I just can't imagine how anyone can walk through the doors of Washington Hebrew Congregation. There were so many many red flags for the school leader. |
