I think it's possible your Yeti tumbler was a commentary on how easy or difficult it was to work with you. Perhaps she or he does not really want any repeat business from you? Considering the current downturn in the market that is a bit of a serious issue you might want to consider.

Nope - in all honesty, we were very easy to work with and the Agent did zero painting/staging, etc.

Ignore the troll, OP. Your realtor was foolish to pass up the chance to get more business from referrals, especially from a client with neighbors in a $2M neighborhood.

There were a few other gestures that showed how cheap the realtor really was. If anyone asks about our experience with this realtor, we do not recommend. Knowledgable but cheap.

Just buy yourself one for $35:

Realtors, hopefully you are taking note here! Do not be cheap with your clients... tacky gestures like a branded yeti will be remembered and talked about!!!

I don’t care if the realtor gives us anything. I would rather not have the yeti. I think champagne in the fridge is nice.

Who cares if they did a great job?

2 million is the new 700k...

Guess you choose the wrong realtor.

I only work with realtors that give a 2% rebate, that's the best gift

We bought a house for 390k. The Realtor gave us a beautiful chime to hang up on the front porch. The mortgage company gave us a painting of the house.

I'm in the Bay Area so my house was over a million but that's low end here.
My realtor was amazing - she went as far as trying to find a home for the feral cat that had starting living in my backyard! I was selling and worried what would happen to it (ended up taking it with me and she is very happy to be inside only now & is laying next to my pitbull on my bed at the moment!)

I didn't expect much a gift from her but she put together a basket with wine, a personalized wine glasses, food, candle, and gifts for my pets.
She also worked with the buyer to allow me to leave unwanted old furniture in the house; they were going to remodel and just agreed to deal with it as part of their offer.

I tried to be an easy and appreciative client but she was also highly recommended. So OP, it might have been your realtor, or you, but who cares if the transaction went well?

Wow. I didn't know that was a thing.

I got a bottle of Veuve Champagne. It's collecting dust somewhere...

I've never received a gift for buying a house, even after 3 houses, but I am apparently a "poor" by dcum standards at 600k.

Our Realtor got us a great deal, so I don't care about the "gift."

I too would rather receive nothing than a branded Yeti (assuming we’re talking about a Yeti bottle and not a fancy Yeti cooler).

It's a tumbler!!

I would forgive the Yeti IF it was personalized for OP with something cute. Otherwise, how hard is it for the realtor to pick up a case of nice champagne and give bottles out to clients?
