$2M Sale and realtor thanked us with a Yeti.

I do not expect any gift, at all.

What I want is for my agent to accept the lowest commission possible. Or have no agent.

You don't have your priorities straight, OP.

OP sounds very, very, very, very green.

Every realtor I've ever worked with gave us a surprisingly nice gift.

Um, what exactly does "ethnically labeled wine" mean?

I’m guessing maybe “Black Girl Magic”? Don’t know what’s nasty about it. It’s not high-end, but it’s ok.

I think it's possible your Yeti tumbler was a commentary on how easy or difficult it was to work with you. Perhaps she or he does not really want any repeat business from you? Considering the current downturn in the market that is a bit of a serious issue you might want to consider.

Nope - in all honesty, we were very easy to work with and the Agent did zero painting/staging, etc.

It’s not clear what you mean when you say the realtor did zero painting/staging. Did you expect the realtor to pay for painting and staging?

OP you sound like a pita. Stop. Don't you have enough stuff to move?

OP here - this is exactly my point. I wasn't expecting anything and would have preferred nothing rather than a tumbler with the realtors name on it.

I'm so sorry this is happening to you.

LOL.

Thoughts and prayers.

The best gifts are sketches/paintings of the house you just bought. Great keepsake even if you don’t display it.

Oh no, I hate those. So tacky. I know what my house looks like.

Small painting of the house we moved from. Loved that.

We also bought a 2M house and sold a less expensive house with the same realtor. We got a bottle of 10 dollar wine for the basement cellar. I wanted one of those oversized wooden keys like you see on TV.

Throw it away and quit complaining. You can actually afford a decent house here.
