What would you bring to an appetizer/dessert party to share?

Good question - is this a bunch of dieting middle aged ladies?

If that's the case, then bake one chicken leg per person and call that dinner.

LOL!

So smelly, do not do this OP!

You've never heard of lox?

Agreed: know your audience. I'm a little bit of a germaphobe so would only eat single serve things in this kind of context, and health conscious... are folks vegan, gluten-free, keto or just plain old American glutton?

that said, falafel can be nice: not the sandwich but individual balls on toothpicks with cucumber and red pepper maybe. But frozen from Trader Joe and heat up.

Nainamo bars.

I am going to an appetizer/dessert party and I am going to make mini-chocolate mousses that I am putting in chocolate cups. I will sprinkle the top with crushed peppermint. They can be eaten by hand and don't need a spoon or anything.

I want to go to your party!

I’m going to a similar one on a weeknight so I’m going to just bake something frozen from Trader Joe’s like mini quiches or mini samosas.

It doesn’t make sense for people who are dieting decide to have an appetizer/dessert party.

LOL, my back-up plan was mini quiches if I couldn't get the chocolate cups. Little quiches are always a hit!!!

Accurate.

Totally agree! People love them. Another weird thing that I cannot believe people devour at my parties-- cream cheese spread on salami, rolled and toothpicked. Men especially seem to love both gross items because their wives would never serve either.

Gross

Came to say deviled eggs. People also like dips. If you do a nice homemade guacamole, it’ll get eaten. A good warm crab dip with baguette also. I wouldn’t think to bring baklava, but I love baklava, so that PP is on to something.
