He looks like 85% of DCUM dads, give me a freaking break.

They’ve found the SUV that was used during the abduction, and detained a man who was in the SUV.

I am once again gutted that we live in a world in which women need to worry about such things. I so hope for a miracle here.

Hopefully it’s another Sherri what’s her name that ran off with a lover because she needed a break.

Actually, this is a very unusual case. Most women are too scared to go out alone at 4:30 am, jogging in the dark. In the case of this women, the fact that she is an heiress made her a bigger target (maybe from DH, maybe from people who wanted to get a ransom), so her running at that time is still puzzling.

She has the money, she did not have to run off with anyone. She could get away from her DH safely and even get the kids if she wanted.

Anyways, WHO runs at 4:30 am? This is so weird.

I think it’s in reference to his recovery. Seems to be big theme for the family.

It's a movie. Fletch Lives.

Don't get carried away. Also, wealthy people have lawyers. They don't need to 'lawyer up'. I'm not saying it is, or isn't the husband, just that none of these tidbits mean anything unless you've already made up your mind

This is horrible. Are you a diagnosed sociopath? If not, get off the internet for a while; it’s harming you cognitively.

Don't get your panties in a twist. I am just a person with common sense.

Everyone can get targeted by opportunistic criminals at any time. But, women get more targeted because they are physically weaker and they are also sexually objectified by sexual predators, sex traffickers, psychopaths, serial killers etc. Add in cases with jealous OWs, cheating husbands or boyfriends who don't want them pregnant etc and women are more vulnerable.

Her wealth made her a bigger target, dressing skimpy makes her a more visible target, and her going for a jog in the dark made her an easier target . So yes, she was lacking the self-preservation genes and common sense, regardless of who took her and why, pr if this was random or targeted.

Per Twitter the cops have found a person of interest and the car, and are currently searching a McDonald's parking lot.

There is no way that she is alive.

I would be terrified to go jogging at 4:30 AM, let alone in Memphis. I feel so sorry for her and her family, what a scary situation. Hoping for a good outcome.

Maybe issues with her birth family?

She has qualified for the Boston Marathon and looks much more like a long-distance runner than a “jogger.” I would guess she runs at 4:30am so she can get some serious mileage in and be home, showered and ready to go by the time the youngern one is up chirping with the birds. She teaches during the day, so no lunchtime run (not that you would want to in Memphis in August) and is busy with errands and family the rest of the afternoon and evening. It’s not like me, a slow-moving target plodding through a 3mi run at 4:30am. The news reports also say she was running through golf course and the college - hardly the sketchy part of most neighborhoods.
