I think it’s in reference to his recovery. Seems to be big theme for the family.

I feel like the last time something similar happened - the lady on the bike ride disappears in the Midwest. It was the husband. I’m interested to see how this plays out. Sad if it’s the spouse or a stranger either way.

Its statistically 99% ALWAYS the husband or the boyfriend. Just like when a child disappears and is found dead.

I'm getting the husband is in on it vibes.

It's true that it is usually the husband, but it isn't always the husband. Anyone remember The Truth About Pam? That poor guy was convicted and imprisoned before the truth came out. Heck, if the real murderer hadn't committed a second murder he'd probably still be rotting in prison.

If you have a relationship with a victim that automatically results in you being considered a prime suspect, you'd be nuts not to hire an attorney. I'm not saying he shouldn't be looked at closely....just that lawyering up isn't just for the guilty.

Anybody who has ever seen Dateline, or seen all Dateline episodes like I have, knows in this scenario it is definitely the husband.

Hmm, so all of you who simultaneously think she was kidnapped because she was out jogging alone AND that the husband is responsible don’t get that if he really wanted her dead, he could have just has easily killed her in her own bed? “Oh, don’t wear slutty pajamas in your own home,” or “don’t have a vagina and talk back,” would that be your argument then?

He doesn’t inherit access to her millions if there’s evidence he killed her at home.

Nope. It's the husband.

Apparently he has multiple DUI arrests and is actively “in recovery.” Plus bad tattoos. It’s sorta weird that a WASP like her would be mixed up with him. I’d love to know their backstory.

That said, her social media is fully open to the public. If someone wanted to kidnap a billionaire heiress, she’s a pretty good target given her social media use, public stature within the community, etc. Not hard to put together who she is and ascertain the means of her family.

They met in church I think. She was a private school teacher and he was a coast guard mechanic who was working at a boat place. So clearly their lifestyle was being funded by her inheritance.

"Simultaneously"? There are multiple people here, with multiple viewpoints. It is not "you vs. dcum."

I sometimes walk my dog at 4 a.m. or 4:30 a.m.

Yes, it's dark outside.

If I wake up early, my dog has to go.

I live in an apartment. I don't go beyond the corner.

I mostly make sue to change my route and time and routine every day.

I’ll go slower so you can keep up:
Some of you are saying—in the same breath—that the husband did it (or hired someone to do it) AND ALSO that she shouldn’t have been jogging. So my point to you is: if the husband is responsible, wouldn’t he have ended up murdering her anyway, and you’d probably be blaming her for like, being in the shower and being slutty enough to get strangled in there or whatever.

A totally innocent woman walking her pitbull in Piedmont Park in Atlanta late at night suffered a terrible death, as did her poor dog who tried desperately to defend her. Did she deserve it? Absolutely not. Too many violent criminals are not in jail where they should be.

It’s usually the husband.
