"Simultaneously"? There are multiple people here, with multiple viewpoints. It is not "you vs. dcum."

I’ll go slower so you can keep up:
Some of you are saying—in the same breath—that the husband did it (or hired someone to do it) AND ALSO that she shouldn’t have been jogging. So my point to you is: if the husband is responsible, wouldn’t he have ended up murdering her anyway, and you’d probably be blaming her for like, being in the shower and being slutty enough to get strangled in there or whatever.

Do you think it's easier to commit a crime under darkness or in broad daylight?

I'll say this slowly for you - THERE. ARE. MULTIPLE. POSTERS. SAYING. DIFFERENT. THINGS. You are an idiot.

What’s the husband’s bio and how’d they even meet? He looks super sketchy.

+1. And a dipsh*t one at that. Probably an alcoholic or drug addict, likely some low class tramp girlfriend on the side.

One of the news reports I read said that the husband has "lawyered up."

Nope. It's the husband.

Apparently he has multiple DUI arrests and is actively “in recovery.” Plus bad tattoos. It’s sorta weird that a WASP like her would be mixed up with him. I’d love to know their backstory.

That said, her social media is fully open to the public. If someone wanted to kidnap a billionaire heiress, she’s a pretty good target given her social media use, public stature within the community, etc. Not hard to put together who she is and ascertain the means of her family.

They met in church I think. She was a private school teacher and he was a coast guard mechanic who was working at a boat place. So clearly their lifestyle was being funded by her inheritance.

How does a billionaire’s family allow her to marry and have children with such a deadbeat? My gosh.

With what money? Her family should seize all assets. Clearly he’s a loser and a teacher only makes $50k a year. All their lifestyle money and any assets he’s paying for the lawyer with is family money.

Yes there are some really nice historic neighborhoods in Memphis with pretty gardens and stately homes

Someone posted this already, they met in church. The churchgoing was a big part of his rehab from alcoholism. He was a mechanic in the coast guard and was working at a boat place.

Public record shows they paid $600k for a charming 3k sq/ft cape cod style home a couple years ago. Pretty big money for Memphis. And not a home you can afford on just a pre-k teacher’s salary. Near the university and a couple golf courses, which seems like the concentrated pocket of wealth for the otherwise downtrodden city.

Within the city, there is a really pretty historic neighborhood called central gardens within the city. That’s where the politicians (mayor, congressmen) and businesspeople live.

Re: the pp, her home is in Central Gardens.

I wouldn’t call a born rich woman like this “dumb” — more naive. She grew up in a ritzy bubble, great schools, pillars of the church community — surrounded by good high-trust people. Her rich family should have never let some low class dirtbag like her husband get without 500 ft of her — let alone marry and procreate with this man. Blame her elders who certainly had the resources to dissolve this relationship before it began.

Awful. She seems like a lovely person. Her poor kids!

Is the husband the same age or older/younger?
