How much does your ten year old weigh?

DD is almost 11 - She's about 5'1"-5'2" (will know more at her well visit) and about 92 lbs. Tall, slender, solid muscle, eats like a trucker.

My daughter is about this size, going into 5th grade. She gets teased at school for being tiny, and some of her friends tower over her. She wears a size 2 shoe!

My 10.25 year old DD is 56" and 74lbs. Seems very average to me in terms of her friends. There is such a wide range at this age- just depends who is in an "up" (height) phase or an "out" (weight) phase.

I am shocked at how many 10 year olds here are in the 50ish range for weight. My 2 year old is 40 pounds.

Don’t be. My ten year old was 40lb at two years old and at 10 is 59lb.

Same. I can’t imagine a 50 lbs 10 yr old. But someone has to be either end of the bell curve

I wouldn't worry about it! I am the PP you responded to and these were my DD's stats about 2 years ago. She has shot up with a growth spurt but is still small for her age. I suspect she will eventually be 5'2/ or 5'3" like me because I am a shortie and was similarly small as a kid. However her size hasn't been an issue in middle school. Just make sure you don't buy her "kiddie" clothes even if she wears kid sizes while her friends are wearing adult sizes. Abercrombie kids has great stuff that isn't immature looking, and they plenty of jeans that come in slim sizes.

No has said they have a 50lb ten year old. I think two pps indicated a short 10 year old in the high 50s.

DS is almost 11. He weighs 62lbs and is 4'6. His brother is 7 and 52lbs.

DS will be 11 in 3 weeks. He's 5'1" and 125lbs. Yes, I know he is chunky. He gets exercise every day, plus martial arts and swim team. My kids spend 2 or so years on the heavy side and then shoot up in height. So, I'm not worried about it.

My 10 yr old is the 2nd smallest boy in his grade, he’s 7th percentile at 56 pounds. He eats 2x as much as his friends and older sibling. His metabolism must be insane.
