How much does your ten year old weigh?

Of course it’s this.

But the answer, my 10 year old DD weighs 60 pounds and is 57 inches tall.

No “of course” it isn’t that, as I already clarified above. I am concerned if your numbers are accurate though? If they are, is she healthy? That BMI at that height is so low that the calculators suggest you double check the numbers. I hope she eats well and is healthy. It’s difficult to have a kid who isn’t gaining weight.

I was estimating. So I just weighed her and she’s 64 pounds. And 56.5 inches tall. But regardless she is thin and always has been. Pediatrician is not and never has been concerned. She looks healthy.

Mine is also a swimmer, with muscle and the same height but weighs a fraction of your daughters weight (3/5 in fact). Strange, lots of different shapes.

10.5 year old is 5'2" and weighs 85 lbs.

My kid dipped down to around the 2-3% for BMI when she was 9. I pushed whole milk yogurt, butter, avocado, nuts, etc for a little while and it wasn’t long before she “caught up.”

Honestly at these heights one pound can drop them below the BMI threshold so I wouldn’t worry much.

she's 4'5" and weighs 61 lbs.

she's pretty much been at the lower percentiles for height and little less than average for weight. however she did just have a growth spurt.

I wasn’t worried - just responding to the hand-wringing PP. I’m thin. It’s genetic.

She’s 12 now but she was 4’10” 75-78lb maybe. She’s 5’2 and 100lb now at just turned 12 so it’s a period of heavy growth.
