Glasgow MS counselor

This should have been caught when he was arrested in 2020. Inexplicable this information was not shared with FCPS, or that FCPS would not have taken action if they were told. Zero percent chance the authorities in Chesterfield would not have discovered he was a middle school counselor. Dumbfounding and maddening.

I agree with all this. I guess I'll take comfort in the fact that it's not common for a school employee to be arrested.

I don't know how FCPS could effectively be doing 24/7/365 background checks. Even if you found this case, you'd have to then make a determination that the defendant with the same name as an FCPS employee is the defendant in the case. And probably 95% of the time it wouldn't be one of your employees. This guy obviously kept everything under wraps/concealed from FCPS.

So speeding in school zone in 2012 and then the solicitation in 2020 with marijuana possession and then latest 2022 sting…

of course they knew. Now I am just waiting for the stories to come out that something happened at Glasgow. FCPS really needs to start putting kids first.

Michelle Reid starts taking out the trash immediately into her tenure. Can’t believe that brain dead Brabrand never did anything here.

Or at least an office reports that they sent the notification via email. So it can be reviewed whether the report actually happened and to whom.

There are a surprisingly large number of Richmond area resident commuting to Nova/DC to teach.

Do they do 24/7/365 background checks?

Who knows how many teachers are being arrested because it is not preventing them from teaching!

So when is FCPS going to communicate more about this?

Disagree. I think it's good that he was not immediately fired in 2020 after being arrested. People are arrested without being convicted often enough. Teachers are held to a high standard, not an impossible one.
