And yet the crazy thing is that the evidence is strong that Riemer would be worse. The #1 thing an executive needs to care about are the details and not only has he shown himself to be incompetent, he could not care less about the details of even the issues that are important to him.

Riemer has misinformation about the polls on his Twitter feed now. He has no shame and at this point is doing a great job helping Elrich get across the finish line.

Today in Montgomery County we have had two churches burned, graveyard vandalized, a robbery spree within minutes of one another, a shopping center shot up and one person seriously injured. And this is just what has been reported in the news.

Elrich can't stand his own cops. He is at least partially responsible for this violent crime. He defunded police by cutting 25 positions. He de facto de-staffed them by creating such a hostile work environment, nobody wants to be a cop in MoCo, and there is a mass exodus from the department. And it's not the bad cops leaving. It's the good ones who can go name their price anywhere else in the country. Improve police, don't remove them.

If we reelect Elrich, I promise it will only get worse. And for the UMC white folks yelling ACAB, it's not you who's getting shot and killed. It's people in marginalized communities. An unintended but very predictable harm.

I think he’s literally cracking up in real time. It’s interesting to watch a middle aged man lose it like that. Hopefully someone close to him is advising him so that he can pull back from the brink, because it’s not pretty.

I voted for Elrich. I would do almost anything to see him defeated. He is horrible. Incompetent, stupid, and obtuse. I am voting for Blair but would take almost anyone other than Elrich.

Since Riemer should know better, it’s not sufficient to say he’s being delusional. He’s just being who he always has been, a guy who lies a lot and always lets down the people who are gullible enough to believe him.

Polls have consistently shown him to be running either 3rd or 4th behind “undecided”. He has no chance of winning and he should know this. To try to convince people to continue to vote for him at this stage shows the kind of person he is.

Because the alternative is that if he believed in what he says that he should be telling all of his supporters to vote for Blair who is the only viable candidate who can beat Elrich.

At least Riemer is consistent until the end. It’s all about Hans and he doesn’t care about anything else, even the truth.

Agreed. But he has taken public financing and can't really drop out. I am not sure if or how that impacts even an informal endorsement of another candidate.

PP here. Violent crime is going up everywhere. Staff shortages are happening everywhere in ever sector. And fyi the churches and cemetary are in Bethesda, not exactly a marginalized community. I am sure that Elrich's incompetence doesn't help, but it affects all aspects of county government, not just police.
