Thank you. I voted for him by mail. Already dropped it off in case I get hit by a bus between now and Tuesday. I think he has a real shot. But every vote matters!

Jamie Raskin just endorsed Elrich which will help him

Yes, it probably will. I was disappointed with Rasking for doing it. He really has no idea what day-to-day disasters Elrich creates, and then everyone around him has to work four times as hard to fix it all.

This tells us two pieces of information: 1. Raskin knows which direction the wind is blowing and confirms that Riemer is toast and no one should waste their vote on him. 2. The fact he endorsed at all and at this late stage indicates that the TPSS crowd are deathly afraid of losing their grip on power.

These people are responsible for destroying our county over the past 15 years. Let them have their enclave and leave the rest of us alone. We need change.

I really need to hear an answer as to why Riemer has not earned a single influential endorsement. Not even GGW would endorse him.

Yes, that was very weird.

It’s mostly because Riemer is untrustworthy. His colleagues know how much of a snake he is. The only group where he’s maintained solid support is among the hangers-on in the housing industry, the kinds of people who think developers want to make less money. But the housing industry itself isn’t even supporting him because they know he’d be a disaster for the county and their property values.

To be fair, GGW is not endorsing in VA or MD this cycle because they haven’t been staffing VA or MD.

They hired a “regional policy director” in May, everyone knows who that is and why that will be a disastrous appointment. Their claim that they will only endorse if they are paid by the industry to endorse makes them look 100% pay for play, which is a bad look but it’s refreshing that they are going mask off.

GGW’s market urbanism nonsense is imploding as people realize it doesn’t work. Elrich and Blair realize it doesn’t work. Riemer is still wedded to it.

Vote Blair. For better or worse, this is not Hans' time.

I wonder if Hans will have regrets when he finishes a distant third and Blair narrowly loses to Elrich, who has definitely been helped by Riemer’s attacks on Blair.

Your question presumes that he actually cares about anything other than himself. If his loss and the manner in which he loses is so bad that it hurts his reputation, then I am sure that he will regret that. Otherwise, the only thing he’ll probably regret is not winning.
