i think it's nice they offered to give the towel back. my family buys a lot of stuff on amazon so i wouldn't question a box with something i personally hadn't ordered. i mean i wouldn't even look at the label if it's on my doorstep. |
Do you have a listserv? (If not, then I suggest you create one for your neighborhood or building). Then please share the picture that Amazon sent you on the listserv and say that some neighbor has mistakenly picked up the misdelivered amazon package. Also, if you have RING or NEST CAM - footage, share it. That way, others are aware who the thief is. Problem solved. |
Um no. This still doesn’t answer how they had neighbor’s code or used OPs code to get into neighbor’s gate. |
Yeah, same. They keep coming back to type out childish insults when they're the one that has no idea what's going on. How embarrassing. |
You should have taken the towel and called Amazon and told them the towel had been used and to send you a new one. I would have let everyone in the . neighborhood know what thos neighbor did. |
That is stupid because we all know that mail and packages can be delivered to the wrong person. Do you keep other people's US mail when incorrectly delivered to you, as well? I guess if you're a thief then you are also n opportunist and there might be $5 in a birthday card. You are disgusting |

Someone put my address on a package and i bent over backwards to figure out where this person lived. Basically, they addressed it their names at 100 Main Street but they live at 110 Main Street. I didn't know their name. had to ask around.
I took the package to 110 Main street. not even a thank you from them. Never again. it was a case of wine, BTW. If you're too stupid to put the correct address on it, then i'm keeping it next time. |

OP is a troll, and is lashing out in annoyance after getting owned.
None of the EMPHATIC! STUPID!! explanations address how Amazon accessed the neighbor’s “locked entry” using OP’s information/code. Why on earth someone wants to make up stories like this for amusement is beyond me. |
I deliver misplaced packages from time to time. I leave it at the correct house. I do not have a conversation about it. Sounds like you walked a few houses down. The address was a typo. It happens. I would not even have rung the bell. It just a courtesy. Vyou are not a hero. |
What? i'm saying the people probably made an innocent mistake--they just assumed it was their package, opened it and gone on with their day. When the OP showed up, they did the right thing and handed the towel back, albeit slightly used. Frankly I think it's weird to show up to someone's house and accuse them of stealing your package when Amazon will replace it for free because it's their screw-up. The whole concept of porch pirates is problematic; it's just giant corporations doing the easiest thing for them (unattended deliveries) to maximise their profits. https://houstonlawreview.org/article/30086-the-porch-pirate-problem |
No one knew "the Smiths." I looked for 2 days. Seriously. I'm not a hero, but I'm not going to go out of my way to find something. Also, if you're ordering something that's valuable, double check the address. FedEx delivered it to the right address. FedEx didn't GAF that "The Smiths" are at a different house. |
And you just forgot to mention that you actually saw them take it in your original post? Troll. |
Read the entire thread. Post you answered is not OP. |
Reading comprehension issues? I’m not the OP. |
OP never said they live in a single family home. Sounds like they probably live in a building. |
