The answer to dads not stepping up isn’t for women to take on all the extra responsibility. It’s for dads to step up. Odd that you blame her for the dads (assumed) lack of involvement. If dad actually isn’t involved, it’s even more important for mom to take care of her mental health and live a well-balanced life.

The baby will be fine if mom is off on a date once or twice a week. Plenty of married couples go out on dates when they have babies and everyone survives.

You get a positive pregnancy test and know when conception happened

The pregnancy test will still alert to changes in your biochemistry. The sonogram she's displaying wasn't until 8 weeks.

This is true. I still find the idea of dating with a newborn practically umbra. BUT, I also have a family member who had a "baby daddy" and they split custody starting around 8 weeks." She had a bit of baby free time... Didn't date, but I suppose a determined woman could do it.
