Dan Snyder bought the most expensive house in regional history??

He is downsizing, plus a brand new (low mileage) home. I like the helipad

Anyone know the water depth there? I can't imagine he can dock his mega yacht there.

This. Because of my job, I know a lot of high net worth folks. In terms of the upper, upper bracket, the MoCo exodus is real and I haven’t seen anything like this in my career. The wealthy don’t want to be in Maryland / MoCo any longer and are opting for DC proper, and NoVa.

Virginia has no estate tax. Expect more moves now that these Boomers' kids are growth and they are staring at their mortality.

This is clearly an estate/succession play by Snyder. Plus he definitely wants a subsidized government stadium and Republicans in VA are willing to grab their ankles.

You misspelled Democrats.

But, unlike Potomac, Northern Virginia has only so many properties of this caliber right on the river that suit his needs. If he was going to build the stadium out in Loudoun, there are more places for him to buy. But he's not. So for along the 95 corridor, this one made the most sense for him. His wife probably wanted to stay closer to the city.

So do you think the stadium will be in Prince William?

Yep. If he can't find the land or the right deal there, I'd bet on Spotsylvania. He knows he has a huge fan base along the 95 corridor south. Huge fan base with money. Not so much in Loudoun going west.

Also, having it on 95 means that it will be a tourist draw for the entire east coast going up and down 95. You know he's going to built the biggest, baddest stadium this time around. It eats at him every day having to look at these newer stadiums other teams have.

At least we use our turn signals and don't block the left lane while spaced out or on our phone.

Look at this $45 million estate to be built next door. Wow.

Is that a joke? Virginia drivers *always* block the left lane. My DH and I have a joke whenever we drive up or down 95 that almost every single car we see parked in the left lane has VA plates. Such an embarrassment.

These things speak to Dan Snyder's greedy little status obsessed soul.

I like the house, it's beautiful. He'll probably cut down all of those trees.

Yeah but everything along the Potomac in Alexandria was owned by GW.

He bought off one sell-out Democrat to push the legislation so they can say it’s “bipartisan.” I guarantee all VA GOP will vote for it, plus signed by the Governor.

This forum should really stick to real estate and avoid sports chat. This is a hilariously embarrassing thing to say.

Oh wow, how cool that you know so many rich people. I guess this explains why there is a huge surplus of homes for sale in Montgomery County! Oh....wait.
