I just got text for two hours delay .
What is going on?

It's clearly yesterday's text.. because it says "Tomorrow, Thur. Jan. 20"

I received the same text, after receiving the school is closed text. It must be a mistake, I doubt they can close schools and then retract.

That text also links to a message saying they're closed. Very confusing.

My high school (not MCPS) actually did close and retract once but it ended up being a day they didn't count attendance because so many people didn't come. It was a total disaster.

My kids will be there open or close. Brining rain clothes just in case they are stuck outside doing homework all day .

I’m so confused about the communication this morning from MCPS. MCPS closed but schools and offices opening 2 hours late???

School or no school - that is the question? Sending my child to school to find out the answer (luckily he’s a walker).

I thought Jack Smith said that snow days in the future were going to be a thing of the past now that we know we can do virtual, if needed. Why didn't MCPS work on that. Disappointing.

I have a kid in private who is having a full in-person school day while MCPS is closed. Doesn’t make a lot of sense.
