1.DC area HS Lacrosse

2.Club Lacrosse (Need Advice)

No way - that would be awful. There needs to be a private school lax thread. Public school lacrosse does not belong on the same discussions as private. its just a whole different level of competition and commitment. DC area HS lax doesnt begin to cut it and few people would bother.

Great - so in the new Lax Forum, create the thread "Boys Private School Lacrosse". Someone else can create "Boys Public School Lacrosse". Yet someone else can create "Girls Private School Lacrosse". A 4th person can create "Girls Public School Lacrosse".

Not to mention, threads can be created for "Boys Club Lacrosse" and "Girls Club Lacrosse"

Jeff - it's time. Create the d*mn Lacrosse forum. There are plenty of threads just waiting to be made for it.

I am also thinking about making an entire "Sports" section (like we have "Parenting Discussion Forums", "Relationship Discussion Forums" etc.). In that case, I would probably also create a Lacrosse forum and move this thread there. This thread is very long which means that nobody reads it from the beginning and loading all the pages and posts takes lots of server resources. I would rather you guys have your own forum and create lots of threads on various lacrosse topics. But, I know some of you are very change resistant and fairly determined that this thread should be here in the private school forum. So, if I created a separate lacrosse forum, how would you react? Would you use it?

I think it is a wonderful idea. I often search this thread for a few crumbs of local club lacrosse information. It would be very helpful to have a separate space for those discussions. Thank you.

Interesting that posters can attack players and kids on here and say all sorts of things but when one one poster replies by calling out the behavior of some lacrosse players and some of their parents that post gets deleted.

FWIW, lax parent here - both private and public - there is plenty of good/great lax at public up and down the East Coast.

In other pars of the east coast - like NY and NJ and parts of MD yes. In the DC area - no. There is no good/great public school lacrosse here.

I, for one, would be disappointed if you moved this thread to a different forum. Many of the valuable postings are directly related to private schools and I believe would be lost from the discussion if the thread isn't right here for the private school parents to remember they want to read and comment on. While I am interested in some of the club stuff, I am more interested on the stuff related directly the the ISL and IAC lacrosse teams - which are the private school leagues. I do however find the occasional club postings to be interesting. Overall, the thread as a whole is a great read, best on DCUM IMO. If its tough to load, could you just archive or even delete the first half of the thread?

Move this thread please!

Yes, that is very curious. Why is the post deleted if the poster is expressing their experience?

Especially after all of the rude and obnoxious comments parents wrote on here about coaches, parents, and other players.

We've been gone. What was deleted?

A comment about lax players transferring into a school and wrecking class dynamics with their behavior. The school wasn't named

Lax Bro culture, especially in this political climate, is thriving.

Sorry to hear that. Sounds like the boys transferring in are the result of a huge parenting fail reinforced by more failure at the former school/s to build acceptable behaviors.

The new school probably won't be able to fix the parent problem, because if they haven't improved their parenting skills by high school then they clearly are broken parents, but the new school can do a lot to change the behavior of the children now at the school through structure and consequences. I hope the new school works up a plan to address it and then follow through next year to implement it.

Turmoil over at Bullis....

Both DCE coaches resign from coaching and star junior transfer (the alleged #1 recruit in the country and leading point producer)is transferring back home for his senior season at Saint Anne Belfield.

Look for GP to be the front runner to win the IAC next year.

Why did the Bullis coaches resign? Who did they clash with?

maybe they didn't see eye to eye with the other coaches or maybe they just want to retire from coaching?
