Meghan Markle and Prince Harry News and Updates Part 2

I know it's silly but I've always been a big fan of hers. She seemed like a nice, normal person who just happened to be so pretty that she caught the eye of a prince. She also didn't seem that into the job, like she married him because she loves him not because she wants to be queen that badly.

This news that she didn't stand up for Meghan, that she didn't issue a correction of what really happened with Meghan at the dress fitting, that she is married to a racist who questions the skin color of his nephew, etc.

It's really disappointing. I feel like I can't be a fan anymore.

No, she came out ok to me. Meghan said she’s apologized and sent flowers. I didn’t hear anything that was critical of Kate.

The pathological hatred here seems to know no bounds. I can only imagine what miserable women you are off this board.

No it wasn't. Gayle King said it wasn't her house this morning on CBS This Morning. Let's get our basic facts right. Good grief

+1. Yes let's start dealing with facts. Not conjecture and tweets.

Did anyone else here wonder whether the apparent concern about how dark the baby would be could actually have been a rather off-colour joke? I don't think most Americans get British humour, particularly that of older generations where racist stereotypes were seen as harmless good fun even if said without malice.

I do think Meghan is seriously I'll. My armchair diagnosis is borderline personality disorder. Her behavior pre Harry and her current behavior supports this.

If I'm correct the least of the concerns should be if the BRF will survive and if they are racists. The biggest concern is the safety of Harry, Archie, and the baby to be and I'm not joking.. She needs help and fast .

BPD-yes, but co-morbidity is present. She definitely has 'histrionic personality disorder' as well.

Yes the longstanding pattern of cutting off friends and family members who displease her is a red flag for this. As is cutting off their SO from all ties. When someone has no friends from back in the day, and no relationship at all with family, they are the common denominator.

Was Oprah believing or not? I didn't think she was that sympathetic but maybe I'm projecting. What did everyone think? To me, I felt she started losing the plot as the interview progressed, then perked up when Harry joined and redirected the conversation toward more specifics.

(also gag, of course the chickens are rescues, she rescues everything, including her husband, the stories just write themselves)

Omg. Give me a Dubonnet cocktail and afternoon tea. A long hike in the Scottish countryside. I would do just fine in a life of seclusion. They can say whatever they want about me. I’d go on living my best life in private. Kate can win. I’ll play bad cop.

Do you not realize that this is how Harry has spent the last 35+ years of his life? He went into the military because (1.) that was the only career allowed of him and (2.) he had drive and ambition. Do you not believe he chaffed at the monotony that you idealize?

To a person of ambition, whiling away at soggy castles and counting down the hours until your next meal is slow torture. My guess is that he married Meghan BECAUSE he didn't want to live that kind of life and wanted a wife who would support him in having a career.

You approaching this as a harried parent. Of course sending your kids off with nannies and having staff meal prep and handle the cleaning sounds amazing. Me too!

What is Harry’s ambition? To be a podcaster?

No they signed a 100m deal with netflix to develop docu series, films, childrens series. They also got paid 7m for last nights interview and are getting 1m for appearances. Podcasts are probably a hobby.

I noticed this. I now have a dislike for her because of it. She should have done more. Vocally

Kate is completely private. She never used her own voice to defend HERSELF for the decade she was tormented. She does not comment in the press. Never has and never will. And they have said a lot of sh*t about her brother's mental health, her sister, her mother and herself over the past decade and a half.

Only when paps got topless sunbathing photos of her did William speak out and attack the tabloids.

H+M are unpalatable, along the same wavelength as Hillary and Alec Baldwin. No racial component.

It is. Every person, no matter who you are, is subject to praise or criticism, neutrality or obsession.
This is a human experience.

YES, racism against blacks and others is prevalent.
YES, it should be examined and stopped.

But all people can be looked at, judged (hopefully, fairly), and debated.

Since they wouldn't post the receipts, we can't know the context. But having racism be part of the sympathy tour was essential, so it had to be in there even if it was not very specific. Hard to see the Queen or even Charles making such comments, more likely nasty courtiers is my guess.

DSM-V

As you will see if you look at the DSM-V, personality disorders are a “choose one only” situation. They co-occur with other diagnoses that are not personality disorders only.

No, I didn’t wonder if it was a joke. I did wonder if it was just someone from a good place genuinely wondering what the baby will look like? I totally wondered that about Archie myself! Im in a mixed marriage and we wondered that about our own beautiful baby! No big deal.

They weren't remunerated for the interview, Oprah was.
