How many college coaches coach club. Outside of McLean, I don’t know if too many college coaches who also coach club.

Arlington girls have Georgetown assistant coaches on staff.

American and GW

Honestly, I am not sure why this necessarily matters. I may not want collegiate coaches at the youth level any more than I want college professors teaching middle school. People who need to rely on these kinds of credentials probably do not know much good soccer when they see it. Hence they fall back on things associated with success in professional worlds - where else the coaches have been and what coaching license they have. Pretty silly for reason that Pipeline dad already pointed out.

If your kid is a Junior or Senior it is an extended look from a college program.

I am confident clubs without a single college coach on staff do great if the talent is there. I would distrust any collegiate program that recruited based on that kind of thinking.

Of course they do. Just pointing out one of the positives.

It doesn’t mean any of the kids even want to go to the schools BUT the coach can certainly be a guide in picking best fits and programs.

Highest level of these coaches looks like High School and some club experience

Did you expect anything better?

just found this page trying to find out info that Pipeline is being looked into from ECNL board about a lawsuit and a loan pulled out for 1.5 million to cover it up...any news on this?

Yes, at least to returning players.

That nuisance lawsuit was not covered up, start the thread from the beginning if you want to learn about it, but you sound like a troll making rumors up,

pipeline posted they were going to have tryouts and have since started sending out offers and pressuring parents to start fall payments by June 1st. Assuming they need the money to pay off the 1.5 million loan and they also owe US Soccer money.

It’s already in this thread, several times, so simply start on page one.

Pipeline always requires a deposit by June 1. This year it is fully refundable if there is no soccer next year. The remaining 10 installments don’t start until the kids are back playing. It is not a new uniform year so returning players do not have that expense.

Sounds like someone is worried about losing players to Pipeline.

Really? As a pipeline parent (at least until my son finds somewhere else to play), I haven’t heard this. Tell me more...

There isn’t anything to tell. Just trolls making up rumors because they’re worried about losing players. There’s no $1.5 mil loan, or even a crazy settlement like speculated above. Trust me, Pipelines not hurting.

Them collecting the first payment is on par with what they’ve done every single year. Since tryouts aren’t happening this year, every club is getting players to commit. Even Bethesda and MD United are doing the same thing.
