People still think he is joking. If he has the ability to do what he says he wants to do, he will. |
| He said FAFO. I would have loved to see those admirals, generals, colonels, get up and walk out. There he was in his suit and tie in front of all those in uniform and his think little stripe of colors. Sad sad day. |
Have you ever been in a military unit? Doesn't sound like it. |
Yes that's what he wants to project, but he is chronically incompetent. He talks big and makes a mess and chickens out He will be dead of natural causes soon, and he knows that. He isn't smart enough to do what he says he wants, only to fake it. He is t building a future for himself like Putin, he's flying by the seat of his pants. That's always been his way. Optics, optics, optics, then grab the moneybag and run. "Art of the Deal". I don't know that Project 2025 wants what you say, but they don't have the cult of popularity |
I've seen many militaries overthrow a ruler. |
Have you ever heard of decorum? |
The ACLU sided with the Trump Administration on this. It was an unconstitutional overreach that needed to be addressed. Any liberal that references this reversal in a negative way has been misled by their own bubble. https://www.aclu.org/news/disability-rights/gun-control-laws-should-be-fair |
And many militaries turn on their own people when shifting into an authoritarian dictatorship. |
Perhaps you should dig a little deeper. “The U.S. Attorney for D.C., Jeanine Pirro, announced a significant policy change: federal prosecutors will no longer pursue felony charges for carrying registered rifles or shotguns in the city, a shift seen as aligning with recent Supreme Court rulings and criticized by gun control advocates as a public safety risk. While registered long guns can now be carried openly, illegal firearms, concealed carry violations, and crimes by prohibited individuals are still subject to prosecution. What's Changing Focus on Illegal Firearms: Federal prosecutors, under the new policy, will concentrate on getting illegal firearms off the streets and prosecuting violent gun crimes, instead of targeting lawful gun owners with registered weapons. ______________________ If “security checkpoints” are at government buildings, yes, they will take your gun. It’s a similar procedure to the TSA at IAD or DCA. Any stops on city streets where they find unregistered guns, illegally possessed guns, illegally concealed guns and stolen guns would obviously lead to felony arrests and removal of the firearms. Why are you glossing over this? Why are you not more concerned that 222 firearms fell into these alarming categories? Again, are you for illegal guns on the streets of D.C.? |
PP here. I definitely agree. That’s what WANT Trump and Hegseth but I don’t see it happening. There aren’t enough people to fill those positions. Miller is no Geobbels. His raids have Trump underwater on his best issue. These clowns are flailing. But, a clown with a flamethrower is still a clown, with a flame thrower. |
|
So the Secretary of Defense of the US just told a group of generals and admirals, with a collective experience of centuries of active deployment, that they will win wars by shaving.
We are hosed. |
| Today's spectacle was the most dangerous and deranged thing we've seen out of this Administration yet. |
Trump said they could leave, but if they did they would lose their rank, their career (something to that effect). They laughed. |
And fat. He called them fat. |
I see you did not link the article and made things up. The Trump AG in DC said they would not prosecute people for carrying shotguns or rifles. This was not link to registration, stolen guns, ccw, etc. or hand guns. Now go get your shotgun or rifle and start walking around DC. You will not come back with your weapons. They will at a minimum seize those weapons. This is off topic for this thread. By your post, you do not even know what is happening. Typical maga. How they take your weapons. I will laugh at you. |
