Yet at least half of all Americans support abortion rights so who cares what you consider a moral horror? No one has to conform to your personal moral standards. |
DP. If you are fine with executing a baby while the mother is in labor or the day before birth, which is your position, you are the one incapable of having a rational discussion. And that extremism is going to get abortion rights destroyed nationwide, because most voters would rather no abortion rights at all than support abortion up until the minute of birth. I’m pro-choice with limits and I’d give up abortion rights in a minute if that was the choice I had to make. |
Half of all Americans absolutely do not support abortion the day before birth, which is your position. |
No, because there is a point in pregnancy where a fetus is no longer dependent on the mother to survive, and that’s called viability. |
How do you know what my position is? |
First you invented a false dilemma and now you’re arguing with your own invention. It’s a beauty to behold. |
You’ve said it. Abortion freely until 23 weeks, after that with “nuance” but you refuse to define nuance. It’s reasonable to conclude you’re in favor of abortion the day before birth. If you are not, then clarify your position. And please show polling that shows most Americans support abortion the day before birth, like you. |
Okay, then name your limits. You refuse to do so. Abortion in the ninth month of pregnancy is widely despised, no matter what whackjob extremists like you promote. |
So you support a total ban on abortion after 21 weeks? |
For healthy babies with no threats to the mother? That sounds reasonable. |
I don’t understand why liberals think that all women should want to be able or kill their own children. I think it’s because abortion is so abhorrent that they have to trick themselves into denial about what it really is. |
My dear friend had an abortion at 24 weeks. She found out at about 18 weeks that the fetus had multiple deformities. They scrambled around to experts, seeing if anything could be done. They had tried for years to have a child and had multiple miscarriages.
Turns out the egg and sperm were not genetically compatible and all the organs and limbs were malformed. If they continued the pregnancy the woman risked sepsis, and the birth would only result in an excruciating death of the fetus. This is what people in the real world face. And stupid people like the Doubting Debbies on this board can STFU. |

Once again forced birthers end up looking like a bag of clowns, all accusations and their own weird Life News takes on what they think pro choice people want, and the flimsiest understanding of any of the issues. Like weird little bits of slag formed in the weak fires of right wing propaganda, they’re off their rockers. |
Ok so then you’d be ok with banning abortions except for cases of birth defects, risk to mother, or rape? Oh of course you wouldn’t. See that’s the problem. You people always try to jump to an extreme example. |
