Did these girls play BLC in 8th grade?

What happened with the 2028 BLC team?

A few years ago, a group of players left for Hero's Green and it started a mass exodus. The BLC 28 team used to have a lot of talent but is a shell now. Everyone left.

Wrong. BLC 28 is an anomaly. Every other BLC team is top / near top 10. Check the stats. Poster is a 28 ex-BLC dad who took his DD to Hero’s bec BLC was an off year. Who can blame him - I would have done the same thing. Except I’d have more class than to spit on the club I left. Bush-league stuff. If this guy’s DD was a 27 or 29 he’d be silent on this forum.

The only thing Wrong is your Reading Comprehension. A PP asked what happened to the BLC 28 team. The answer above describes what happened for the 28 team, nothing more nothing less and nothing about other years for BLC teams.

this is comical....will you provide the same analysis for the teams they beat to achieve their overrated ranking? Do the teams they beat have more "Stars"? Isn't working well as a team a good thing? Shouldn't we all want a system? Note - my kid played against that team and was never on it so I have no allegiance but that statement was just ....

That BLC 27 team was pretty awesome with some unbelievably talented kids. Although they played great as a team, having such great kids at the top of the roster made them that much better.

All done now though!

Not sure that makes them overrated. In fact, I think a team made of a few "stars" where everything runs though them is overrrated.

BLC def faded at the end of summer with the impending breakup, Hershey was a bit of a show.

Some very good players, all will likely help their new squads.

Totally agree. Don’t forget their SR friends too.

Those who made Cap Blue players will commit to some great schools. Will be fun to watch.

You can see the rosters on their web page if you are interested in what the club looked like at the beginning of COVID.

Read the comment to which the response was given: "A few years ago, a group of players left for Hero's Green and it started a mass exodus. The BLC 28 team used to have a lot of talent but is a shell now," he claims. Put your glasses on: the "mass exodus" comment wasn't specific to the 28s; he misleads readers to think players left the club prior and a lack of pipeline talent led to 28 underperformance. Also gives the misimpression post 28-BLC pipeline isn't strong. All wrong, as stated. The response to the PP clarifies the 28s are an anomoly and notes the strength of the other BLC years for factual reference.

Also from everything that I have read on this board the 28s seemed to have a disgruntled parent that left to Hero's and took his carpool with him. Sounds like a one off situation.

There is a already a thread for 2028 Girls, and every time I read it, I am glad that my daughter is not a 2028....

You have a point, but you have to admit it is pretty entertaining. After all, you are reading it and you don’t have a 2028.

Someone brought up Hero’s Green 28. They had multiple losses to top ten teams last year. Double losses to Eagle Stix. Triple losses to Coppermine and double losses to MD United. Losses to Aces and Crush MD too. Barely beat Pride Red (??) by one goal (ranked 19) and squeaked by Monster (ranked 16) too.

The lacrosse dialogue on 28s is better on this thread. Parent drama seems to be the focus on the other one. Plus the next Capital tryouts will be for the 2028s, so why not join the fray.

To respond to the Hero's comments as a non-Hero's affiliated poster, here's my take. Coppermine went 55-3. Not sure losing to them says anything except that you played the best team in the country 3 times. Eagle Stix is an athletic powerhouse and routinely beats everyone but Coppermine. Any top 5-7 team not named Coppermine or Eagle Stix can lose to any other on a given day. Monsters can play above their level on occasion, and also down. And, Hero's is a good matchup for Pride Red. 2028's have played them to the wire twice. (For the double question marks poster, Pride Red 2028s, also tied M&D, Aces, played Crush within 2, beat Sky Walkers twice, and dominated the local teams--so slow your roll.)

What does all that say? On balance, Hero's was probably the 3rd best team all year. Not bad.

And they won the Youth National Championship in DE this summer. There’s that to consider too.
