The lacrosse dialogue on 28s is better on this thread. Parent drama seems to be the focus on the other one. Plus the next Capital tryouts will be for the 2028s, so why not join the fray.

To respond to the Hero's comments as a non-Hero's affiliated poster, here's my take. Coppermine went 55-3. Not sure losing to them says anything except that you played the best team in the country 3 times. Eagle Stix is an athletic powerhouse and routinely beats everyone but Coppermine. Any top 5-7 team not named Coppermine or Eagle Stix can lose to any other on a given day. Monsters can play above their level on occasion, and also down. And, Hero's is a good matchup for Pride Red. 2028's have played them to the wire twice. (For the double question marks poster, Pride Red 2028s, also tied M&D, Aces, played Crush within 2, beat Sky Walkers twice, and dominated the local teams--so slow your roll.)

What does all that say? On balance, Hero's was probably the 3rd best team all year. Not bad.

Pride Red is ranked 16 - a razor thin Hero’s win against them earns serious double question marks, especially when ex-BLC Hero’s dad guy is all over these forums claiming DMV superiority.

Looks like you switched back to the 2027s. So even though you quoted my post, I've got nothing for you, except to note that the double question marks I responded to were in reference the close games the Pride 2028's played with Hero's Green 2028, not to any 2027 results. You may have read too quickly, or are in the group that no 2028 dialogue should be allowed on this thread.

Sorry for the mistype. Pride Red 28 finished 19 on the year (not 16). Makes the Hero’s G 28 squeaky one-goal win even worse. Hero’s G only beat ‘em by two during their second match on the year. Deserves triple question marks.

As a matter of fact, I am. Are you looking to sue someone?

And they won the Youth National Championship in DE this summer. There’s that to consider too.

Agree, but with Coppermine missing a few stars, and Eagle Stix not attending, the door was open for the #3 team.

In other words, when you remove Coppermine's holdbacks, they are no longer the best teams.

Can we put this to bed once and for all and stop targeting specific kids? So lame for an adult to do.

No specific kids were named. It's a very valid point about competitive fairness. The only tourney all year which requires kids to be on-age sees the #1 team lose to a team outside the top team from the west.

Capital tryouts for 2027 are over and teams selected.

2028s up next. Get used to it or move on. And you may want to eat a sandwich, drink a glass of milk, or do some...thing. Relax

First of all, you 28 parents are all insane and it’s awesome. This and the 28 thread are so enjoyable it almost hurts.

Second, if you don’t like a post because it identifies a kid (in your opinion) why not mash that report button? Getting in a three page argument about the appropriateness of anonymous posts, although entertaining, seems tiresome unless you are truly trolling and entertaining yourself. If you don’t like it, just report it and it will go away.

This is my last public service announcement because I prefer the ridiculous banter. Keep it up 28 rents!

Agree. Probably need girls lacrosse to go the age verification route. Holdbacks for lacrosse alone, with no academic or developmental need, have become rampant for boys on the top clubs. The private schools thread for DC routinely jokes about boys aging out and not being able to play their senior season of high school. It would be a very negative development for that to spread to the girls game, and the major success that the top 2028 team has experienced is a pretty powerful incentive for more.

It doesn't matter. If your DD is on the team they are getting recruited.
Somebody will post the list of schools their players have committed to soon.

People get way too wrapped up in these club rankings and trash talk. The reality is that very few girls will be playing for a top 10-20 team.

Think about the goals for your daughter. Is it simply to get into college? Get into a better college than her academics would allow ? Do you need scholarship money? Or does your daughter just love the sport and want to continue?

Everyone has their own goals and at the end of the day these club team rankings are not that important but for a very small group of people.

If you are playing on a club team and put in the work and want to get recruited you can. It may not be UNC or UMD but you can find a place that aligns with your goals.

It is an individual journey. There is zero money in womens lacrosse unless you are the head coach for a top program. All of the negative back and forth on here is really pointless.
