What is anyone saying about how a bullet got into the gun?

The FBI is involved in figuring this out. Everyone is pointing fingers at the other person. Prop supplier is also being investigated.

“Prosecutors have downgraded the involuntary manslaughter charges against Alec Baldwin, significantly reducing the possible prison time for the actor, who was holding the gun that discharged on the “Rust” movie set, killing the film’s cinematographer.

Mr. Baldwin’s lawyers argued this month that the Santa Fe County district attorney had incorrectly charged the actor under a version of a New Mexico firearm law that was passed months after the fatal shooting in October 2021.

If convicted under that law, called a firearm enhancement, Mr. Baldwin would have received a minimum prison sentence of five years. Instead, he now faces a maximum of 18 months in prison.”

This whole thing was for show and the state doesn't have a case. That DA looks like a fool.

ITA. I posted on here that I thought the DA had a really tough case to prove. Now I think they were just seeking attention. Charging someone with a violation of a law that wasn't even on the books at the time of the act is enormously sloppy.

Halls claims he didn't say "cold gun" before handing it to Baldwin. He's lying and, according to your reasoning, he should go to jail.

Baldwin is on trial and he is going to lie. He has to since he made up a story that he didn’t pull the trigger.

Still doesn't make him guilty. Cold gun is a gun empty of ammunition. He could have pulled the trigger a million times without any danger had Halls and the armorer done their jobs.

The way I see it, Baldwin was the top guy on the set. He would be the first to tell you he was top guy, lol. Therefore, he's 100% responsible for anything and everything that happens on his set. He allowed the guns to be used for target practice. Employees walked off the set due to safety concerns. Think about that. It's thrilling and prestigious to be working on a movie set, and with a big name celebrity like AB. And yet, people were concerned enough they wanted no part of THIS set, and they walked off.

The minute someone gets killed with one of the guns used for target practice, all of a sudden it's the armorer's fault. Yeah, sure, like she had the authority to prevent people from grabbing the guns, using them for target practice, and then sneaking them back on the "cold" table. The fault lies with whomever pulled this stunt, but I'm suspecting that individual doesn't have the guts to step forward. The ultimate fault lies with Baldwin for allowing the guns to be used for target practice.

He's a coward. He's going to let someone else take the fall.

Good thing that’s not the way the law works. None of us should be strictly liable under criminal law simply because of the job we hold.

The director is the top guy on the set. The director was in front of the gun and was shot. The ultimate fault lies with him.

You mean HER. The director gave Baldwin the instruction to point the gun at her.

Why was he not held accountable then?

DA is just trying to make points with her conservative base. Sticking it to Alec Baldwin is just a means to an end. She will look incompetent but she looks like a warrior against woke.

Um, the DA is an openly gay Democrat who won her primary by 30 points and didn't face an opponent in the general election.

Exactly. I don't care about Baldwin but can't believe the amount of money they are wasting on this.
