Hopefully the coaches assured them they’ll have playing time. Can you 4hrs to and from practice to sit the bench?

Anyone going to a top 5 team in the country isn't going to just sit the bench. These clubs only take 1-3 new players a year and that's with the expectation they are impact players coming in to play. This isn't like the DMV teams where anyone basically makes a team. When you go to a Maryland club, you have to be better than probably most of the current team and roster to stand out. Otherwise, they won't disrupt a successful team to add a player to just sit the bench and piss off parents, players etc.

If Stars 2028 had players better than most on Coppermine and M&D, then they hid it very well.

They must be the masters of deception since both players made the MD teams.

The MD teams have some REALLY good players. Stars did not have any such players. But, they did have a couple of girls who were good enough to make the transition and will now be middle of the pack players on the MD teams.

More power to you for thinking that. Sorry your kid is stuck on YJMA with no chance of even making a MD B team.

They also made the Md AU futures team, so I think they can compete just fine with the md players.

Maybe you should work on getting your own kid better instead of bashing others. The rosters speak for themselves, not your uninformed opinion.

As an extremely informed person who knows exactly who are the elite players, I can assure you they were not on Stars.

Extremely informed in 7th grede girls lacrosse. Add that to your resume and you will go far.

Congrats to the girls who made the Md teams. That drive is not one I would want to make, but to each their own. Best of luck to them

I'm sure you are the expert, 2 thumbs up! How about this, no one cares. Players leave all the time for better clubs for various reasons. They were good enough to make the new teams and will work hard to play at the top level. You can sit back and enjoy the subpar Lax that is DMV lax. Case in point clubs like Cavs, YJMA, Metro exist.

Congratulations on the move to M&D! I am sure your daughter will do well there.

This is wrong. New players that make Md clubs actually have a higher chance of riding the bench bec they are typically brought on as role players to support their established starting lineups. Any hot shot that switches to a new team and rises to a starting spot is a very rare case.

It's a NEST Level thread, friend.

That's how it goes around here? Jealous, bald, non athletic losers on here running their mouth on things that don't concern them on who is on what team. Reality is hard to swallow when players work harder than others and have success to show for it while some just complain and sling insults.

There are top players on all teams and could all provide an impact to the top teams.
