Anyone going to a top 5 team in the country isn't going to just sit the bench.  These clubs only take 1-3 new players a year and that's with the expectation they are impact players coming in to play.  This isn't like the DMV teams where anyone basically makes a team.  When you go to a Maryland club, you have to be better than probably most of the current team and roster to stand out.  Otherwise, they won't disrupt a successful team to add a player to just sit the bench and piss off parents, players etc.   [/quote]

This is wrong. New players that make Md clubs actually have a higher chance of riding the bench bec they are typically brought on as role players to support their established starting lineups. Any hot shot that switches to a new team and rises to a starting spot is a very rare case.  [/quote]
