Hopefully someone who’s all there.

It’s going to be Buttigieg, they’ve already had a few meetings on this.

Gawd that would be a downer.

It will not be two white men. Won't happen.

Why not? What are we going for here? Palin debacle?

Exactly. Go for a woman to lock in any voters who prioritize wanting to “make history”. At the same time, bully anyone who doesn’t put a woman up. Be loud and throw around a bunch of cliches like, It’s our time, Where are the women, Shame on you, etc. Rage on!

I actually think it's going to be Klobuchar, for exactly the same reason. The ticket does not need two white men. His sexuality is not diversity enough at this time. However, after the 2016 debacle, I think adding a woman to the ticket *IS* what the party needs. A woman will help some of the party's tarnished reputation at this point. Buttigieg is no more ready to be VPOTUS than he was ready to be POTUS. And it will NOT do anything to help the party. Klobuchar does have the experience to be VPOTUS and the experience will make her a very strong contender for the nom in 2024 when Biden will step down. Also, female democrats are feeling betrayed right now and this will help make partial amends.

She is so not prime time. Sorry. We have to do better than that. And yes, people will vote straight blue so maybe it doesn’t matter who VP is. But if we need republican votes then don’t go polar opposite Biden here.

She’s good at explaining policy where BIden is not. She’s good with quips. She doesn’t get ruffled easily (unlike Klobuchar did). She is taking down Bloomberg for Biden. BIden can put her in charge of the anti-corruption task force.

This would be a formidable ticket for sure. Only problem is Massachusetts has a Republican governor and if he wins Biden will need 50 Dems in the Senate to get anything done. But a Warren is a unique talent, so it might be worth the risk.

He’s going to go with someone who gets him a bigger footprint. That will either be the black vote or cannibalize independents and moderate republicans. Not clear Warren caters to either of those, and certainly not the latter.

The most logical choice, presuming Biden can hold the black vote. With the Obamas as his surrogates, he should be okay.

I really liked Klobuchar until I saw her completely lose her cool with Buttigieg at the Nevada debate. Now i’m not sure she has the right temperament. Honestly I think Warren would be a much better fit. She is an exceptional communicator.

Just say no to dementia Joe!!!

Agree with first PP here. I think Warren is the most strategic pick.

How much more pandering do independents and moderates need? I’m blue no matter who, but Joe has expressly stated he’s not going to rock the boat, he’s just going to right the ship.

Neither Klobuchar or Whitmer are polar opposite. Both have track records of working in purple states and both are from a region that could use the boost from seeing one of their own on the ticket.

Whitmer is more telegenic and personable, seems to have a better temperament. A fresh face would be welcome. MI > MN

Klobuchar and Warren are both needed in the senate. One of them will be the new senate majority leader though.

I agree .. it's just that people here seem to be attached to Klobuchar for some reason.

She will do a great job. She could deliver the battleground states!

Biden/Whitmer 2020

So this just happened:

She could help win MN, WI, Michigan, Ohio, PA. She could pull female voters away from Trump. She could bring young people out because she would be the first female and she is everything HRC wasn’t. She is a great speaker. She is younger and remember Obama did not have much experience either. She would be the strongest pick.

Yes! Totally agree! She is engaging and I love listening to her speak. I think she would be a huge asset for him And she would be someone who would get voters excited.

She makes Biden look really old in this photo. Does anyone else worry that pairing an old man with an attractive younger woman will invite comparisons to McCain/Palin—unfair as it may be? I don’t think anyone wants that.

She has a lot more experience than Palin did and is actually intelligent. I don’t think we should shy away from a woman due to the inability of some idiots to vote for a woman.

I think Whitmer or Klobuchar would be a logical pick.

Yes, but no-one will want to risk Klobuchar's seat. Whitmer is the better pick in a number of respects, but this is the crucial one.
