I think an effective female governor of a swing state would be a really good choice. I read somewhere that white women without a college degree is a group Biden will need to appeal to (pretty sure white men without a college degree are a lost cause) and that his VP pick should be someone who is palatable to them. Makes sense to me. |
Hopefully someone who’s all there. |
Governor Whitmer for sure! She is really awesome and engaging. She is from Michigan and would appeal to many people. |
Yes! Totally agree! She is engaging and I love listening to her speak. I think she would be a huge asset for him And she would be someone who would get voters excited. |
I think you have a creepy thought. |
It’s going to be Buttigieg, they’ve already had a few meetings on this. |
Please link your source. |
Gawd that would be a downer. |
Like the one two hours before he dropped out and simultaneously backed Biden? |
It will not be two white men. Won't happen. |
In 2008, I hoped for sure that Obama would pick someone young, diverse, hopefully a woman, especially given all the passion behind Hillary at that point. We got Joe. And here we are. |
Why not? What are we going for here? Palin debacle? |
Could you be anymore sexist? (“I’m not sexist!” Yes you are. If women, very rightfully, would like to be reflected on the ticket, and you zip past Warren, Harris, Demings, Klobuchar, etc etc to moron Sarah Palin, like she’s representative of women in politics, you are sexist. Or a troll.) |
I actually think it's going to be Klobuchar, for exactly the same reason. The ticket does not need two white men. His sexuality is not diversity enough at this time. However, after the 2016 debacle, I think adding a woman to the ticket *IS* what the party needs. A woman will help some of the party's tarnished reputation at this point. Buttigieg is no more ready to be VPOTUS than he was ready to be POTUS. And it will NOT do anything to help the party. Klobuchar does have the experience to be VPOTUS and the experience will make her a very strong contender for the nom in 2024 when Biden will step down. Also, female democrats are feeling betrayed right now and this will help make partial amends. |
I initially thought Klobuchar but I don't think it makes sense to risk her seat. And Whitmer is just generally more appealing imo. |
