Biden's VP?

Anonymous
I don’t think he would pick Warren - she’s also pretty old and leaves the party with the same problem they had when Biden declined to run in 2016 - no heir apparent. If Biden was elected, served one term and then didn’t run for re-election, his VP would be the next logical choice and Warren would be 75 in 2024. If he served 2 terms just add another 4 years onto that, yikes.

He needs someone younger, but also someone who can pull in progressives. Maybe Beto?

If not Michelle, maybe Beto or someone that has a chance at pulling a major swing state. Why the heck would you pick someone from unquestionably democratic states like CA or MA (Harris, Warren)? No freakin way that happens.

Ffs you’re putting that certified imbecile Beto above the current crop of candidates? That says more about your own judgement than anything. I’d take any of them other than Bernie as a VP.....especially Amy.

I’m not a Castro fan but I think he’s a MUCH better pick to compete in Texas than Beto.

Biden is old and out of touch enough to pick Klobuchar as VP. That is literally the driest and most uninspiring ticket I can imagine.

What can we do at this point? Biden or Bernie!? I'd prefer Klobuchar as the nominee but it's not happening. She's young, experienced and safe! The best VP choice. She will seal the moderate ticket. If Dems speak the truth about supporting anyone but Trump, we need to focus on moderates/independents votes. She is it.

Why are you looking for half baked charisma? Did you hear Trump spewing at yesterday's CPAC?

Same poster again ^ here is evidence of what I said above about Biden/Klobuchar. Listen when they speak. Quoting a poster from the moderates and supporters thread...

"As a Trump supporter, I am really glad that the Democrats in SC gave Biden a win. This makes me much less worried about Trump losing the next election. Biden is someone I could support being President. I still prefer Trump, but Biden is okay with me too. I hope he brings along Amy Klobuchar or Andrew Yang as VP. That would really make me pause before checking the box for Trump."

Bring back Obama! PLEASE!

Lol. Someone who will be forgotten by December, or maybe listed in history next to the likes of Lloyd Bentsen. Biden has no chance to win the election.

You know, Beto is not all that progressive in some ways.

Warren looks very youthful compared to Biden, she didn’t enter politics until recently, and women peak in their careers later than men. I could see it.

For all those saying Biden-Warren - do you realize this ticket would be 148 years old?

If he somehow gets the nomination, I think he'll pick a woman and/or POC, and should probably pick a running mate who is in their 40s or 50s. I would be happy with Harris or Castro. Someone who could run and win in 2024 when Joe is 82 (and I don't think that person is Amy Klobuchar).

I do understand the age thing, but I think there is a real difference between men in their late 70s who have been in politics for many decades (Biden and Sanders and Bloomberg) and a 70 YO woman who just entered politics in 2012. In an actuarial sense, but also in the sense of ideas and freshness.

Me? I’m voting for Buttigieg because he’s who I think is best. You, of course, can support the battle of the 80 years old(s).

(PP you quoted.)
