Public Trump Impeachment Hearing Mega Thread

Yes, they definitely knew about the complaint before the aid was released. More importantly, they knew that Congress knew about it before the aid was released. The House investigations started on September 9.

On Wednesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “The Situation Room,” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said today’s public hearing in the impeachment inquiry of President Donald Trump was ”not just about something that has occurred.”

She said it was instead “about preventing a potentially disastrous outcome from occurring next year.”

I don’t like her and didn’t watch this but I’m going to guess she meant that Trump is going to use what should be U.S. foreign policy for his personal political interests to influence the election, which he clearly has been doing.

Yes. On 9/9 those damming text messages between Taylor and Sondland occurred IIRC. He knew they were holding the aide up and why and he wasn’t going to play along. And he kept the receipts.

Oh. You got the talking points text they were sending around to the press too, huh?

Nope. Been listening to this all day without comments or ads.

But are your ears and mind open to what you are actually hearing?

Definitely. And I all heard was “I heard this second hand and it didn’t sound like something I like”

Dude, the evidence is ALL there. The summary of the call was released. Trump not only admitted it on TV, he went on to ask China to interfere too! And the aid wasn't released until their treason hit the news.

This is you:

Stupid memes don't make treasure out of the crapshow that was today.

So if all of the secondhand information is shown to be true, then will you be fine with whatever Trump has been doing this year?

That's what your response implies. Either that or you think that the secondhand information will not be shown to be true, in the next hearings.

it's not true just because someone else says it is true. But I'm not surprised, given how DCUM loves to speculate, believes anything that passes you by. There's SO much information to come out so I'll just remain skeptical.

They also said they never in their long years of serving did they see a Vice President tell a foreign country to stop their investigation in 6 hours or no aid.

"I'm going to guess"
"I think"
"I bet"

Perhaps. Maybe.

There is *much* more information to come out. But, the White House is blocking it. Why? There are other witnesses that can give testimony, but the White House is blocking them, too. Why?

Yep. He's totally bonkers, was totally sweating all over himself even though no one else was and the room was ice cold.

Gym Jordan. He ought to resign NOW.

As should the criminal in the White House.

I can't even with you Trumpsters anymore. Willfully ignorant or just plain IGNORANT?

While the Dumpster in Chief hosts and licks the rump of the murdering Erogan whilst his impeachment inquiry is happening. #goodtimes

So the text messages? The summary of the call? Trump's own words in front of the world? NOW all the evidence of multiple witnesses coming forward that just underscores WHAT WE ALREADY KNEW.

But sure, remain skeptical. Ha.

Devin Nunes is an abomination. A sweaty mess, spewing lies and accusing the Dems of being dramatic while he was the biggest drama queen in the room.

Castor was a dumpster fire with high octane. What are they thinking?

Gym Jordan is the best the R's have, and that's really sad. He needs to get rid of his childish posters framing his seat and find a proper jacket. Watching the lies in person was just so supremely offensive - and Gym the sexual abuse denier needs to RESIGN.

Taylor and Kent were succinct, articulate and strong. NON-PARTISAN!

Schiff, Swalwell, and Castro were top notch. "Is attempted murder a crime?" YES IT IS! AS IS ATTEMPTED BRIBERY!

Signed,
A former R who will never again in my life vote for an R or respect anyone who does. The party is imploding on itself. Quite sad.

Schiff was top notch? After flat out denying that he knew the whistleblower's identity? That's rich, and probably the biggest lie of the day. If he doesnt' know the WB identity, how can he protect the WB's identity?

My respecting the integrity of a process.

Of course, a president and party that supports foreign interference to threaten the security and interference to the constitutional American voice won’t understand that. You can authorize an action , and intentionally partition and secure information.

I want everything addressed. And I want to hear it from the horses mouth.

DP. What you are doing is not remaining skeptical. You are in full-on denial.

Enough has been made public. It's all laid out. You just don't want to admit it.

If this were Obama, you'd be screaming for impeachment.

Up.

This is a character and leadership issue. Not a dem/rep issue. It is about national security and the risk he creates in abusing power that has far reaching national and global impacts.

Stealing an election isn’t beneath this person. He’s a true narcissist, gaslighting is the name of his game, and he is abusive in his power. Straight up abusive.

I’m sure there is a list somewhere growing with all the lies this president has told to date.

All while making money hand over fist with some of the best performance the stock market has seen while companies and investors benefitted from his immoral rogue behavior — it allowed an economic edge in various markets for stakeholders willing to turn a blind eye to his immoral and corrupt practices.

This, this, 1000 times this!

I am sick of Republican House Members and Trump supporters howling to the moon about how this is a partisan impeachment proceeding. The only partisan nonsense going on here is being perpetrated by the GOP, with their hand-waving and outright lies to try and deflect attention from the obvious wrong-doing of this President. The GOP has put party and their greed for power before decency, ethics and COUNTRY. That is partisanship gone completely, utterly and dangerously awry. They are more worried about their own power than the welfare and security of this country. Disgusting.
