Oh. You got the talking points text they were sending around to the press too, huh?

Nope. Been listening to this all day without comments or ads.

But are your ears and mind open to what you are actually hearing?

Definitely. And I all heard was “I heard this second hand and it didn’t sound like something I like”

Dude, the evidence is ALL there. The summary of the call was released. Trump not only admitted it on TV, he went on to ask China to interfere too! And the aid wasn't released until their treason hit the news.

This is you:

Stupid memes don't make treasure out of the crapshow that was today.

The point of the song is that she *is* messing around, and he just doesn't want to believe it. Because believing it would threaten the cozy illusion he has set up for himself and reveal that his trust is misplaced, and that he has been had by a con artist.

That line summarizes today. You can continue to try and spin the rest of the story, but it won't change that they were referencing each other as sources.

SNORT:

On Wednesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “The Situation Room,” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said today’s public hearing in the impeachment inquiry of President Donald Trump was ”not just about something that has occurred.”

She said it was instead “about preventing a potentially disastrous outcome from occurring next year.”

So if all of the secondhand information is shown to be true, then will you be fine with whatever Trump has been doing this year?

That's what your response implies. Either that or you think that the secondhand information will not be shown to be true, in the next hearings.

As to that "secondhand" stuff--we're talking about people who interact IN THEIR JOBS. A lot of the stuff I learn about at work does not come directly from a horse's mouth, and of course if there is questionable info I try to confirm what I have heard but I don't check in with the general manager 29 times a day or confirmation.

Anyone who honestly thinks that way about information in their own work like is absolutely detested in their work place.

I would buy the “secondhand” defense if any of the testimony conflicted with the White House transcript of Trump admitting to the crime.

But it all lines up so neatly.

And don’t think for a second that if Trump is not removed from office his behavior will not escalate. This will only get so much worse.

He won’t let the firsthand witnesses, like Bolton, testify. Trump is obstructing.

Given that the aid was released on 9/11 and the whistleblower complaint was Aug 25, for sure the WH knew about the whistleblower complaint when they caved on the aid, right? Sort of like the embezzling clerk stuffing the money back in the safe (after stashing it in a duffel bag at the end of business day) when he sees the boss' headlights in the parking lot.

For the people who have been saying that this is business as usual, you had two high ranking career public servants with nearly 80 years of service between them who stated that they had never in their long careers under Presidents of both parties encountered a President who used the powerful levers of foreign policy under his control for personal gain.

If there was clear and convincing evidence that Trump or his campaign with his knowledge and approval had colluded with Russia in connection with the 2016 election, impeachment would be the correct remedy. If Trump disobeyed an order by the Supreme Court, impeachment is warranted.

There are multiple reasons why this impeachment move is sheer folly. Reliance on second or third hand information, the fact that the election is just a year away, the fact that there is no chance that Trump will be removed from office, the fact that articles of impeachment will only be passed in a totally partisan vote. But as I said previously, the environment will be created for a Democratic president to be impeached for flimsy reasons by a Democratic controlled House which would be tragic.

It took over 100 years for us to have a near impeachment of a president after Andrew Johnson. In the past 50 years we will have had three presidents impeached or near almost certainly headed for impeachment assuming that Trump is impeached. This is a reflection of the partisanship that has polarized this country.

BTW, I am a Democrat!

Have you read the testimony in the Stone trial? Stone and Trump had advance knowledge of Wikileaks (ie GRU) dumps and planned campaign messaging around it. This was obvious to anyone paying attention at the time. Glad we agree that it is impeachable.

The 'secondhand" stuff is moot when requested documents are withheld and so many ignore legally authorized Congressional subpoenas.

Devin Nunes is an abomination. A sweaty mess, spewing lies and accusing the Dems of being dramatic while he was the biggest drama queen in the room.

Castor was a dumpster fire with high octane. What are they thinking?

Gym Jordan is the best the R's have, and that's really sad. He needs to get rid of his childish posters framing his seat and find a proper jacket. Watching the lies in person was just so supremely offensive - and Gym the sexual abuse denier needs to RESIGN.

Taylor and Kent were succinct, articulate and strong. NON-PARTISAN!

Schiff, Swalwell, and Castro were top notch. "Is attempted murder a crime?" YES IT IS! AS IS ATTEMPTED BRIBERY!

Signed,
A former R who will never again in my life vote for an R or respect anyone who does. The party is imploding on itself. Quite sad.

Schiff was top notch? After flat out denying that he knew the whistleblower's identity? That's rich, and probably the biggest lie of the day. If he doesnt' know the WB identity, how can he protect the WB's identity?
