Mueller does not find Trump campaign knowingly conspired with Russia

533,000 articles all on Russian collusion, about 92% saying he colluded.

Sigh.

That's why it's called #FakeNews.
And, based on some of what I have read and heard in the past 24 hours, some in the media have learned NOTHING.

#FakeNews is on both sides. I'll give you that the MSM screwed up here. I got rid of cable two years ago, have been saying for years that WaPo long-ago abandoned the line between editorial and news, and I've watched as the NYT has done the same. Even WSJ has made their screw ups. But right-wing media isn't much better, and the fringe there is abjectly terrifying.

So who do you trust?

I am a Democrat. Been convinced this would be the outcome since the beginning.

But are you SERIOUSLY okay with a President who was caught on tape saying those things, and paying off mistresses, and taunting people like a seventh-grade bully on Twitter? THIS will be the real long-term impact of this whole affair - that it has pushed people into defending the indefensible. Trump is a pig and unqualified for the office he holds, and that really shouldn't be in dispute. That reality is what has pushed so many people in government and media to pursue this insanity like a bunch of third-rate gossip columnists, while Trump refashions our government into a right-wing proto-fascist version of its former self.

I'm cool with it. We're not voting for pope here.

As long as he gets even tougher on illegal immigration and grows the economy, he's got my vote in 2020.

Frankly, I trust the news shows on Fox.... Bret Baier, Chris Wallace, Shep Smith, Martha McCallum.
Fox has its pundits. But, the news programs are good. They are generally balanced. They have guests from both sides of the aisle... and not "token" representatives like Jennifer Rubin who is anything but conservative. They have covered this investigation very well, as they cover most stories.

I know this is not a popular opinion here, but it is good to get straight news and then commentary from a variety of perspectives. This doesn't happen on most cable or network stations.

They didn't screw up. They deliberately lied. And conspired with Dems. And yes, right wing media is MUCH better

Sad that you don't care if our leaders are decent people so long as you get yours. Some of us actually care and worry about how to explain this all to our children. Hard to raise decent people when the culture is saying, as you do - "who cares?" And yet the party you support is supposedly the party of family of values and morality. At least you are openly admitting that is a lie.

So you just named Fox - a cable outlet - and then said you need to get news and commentary from a variety of perspectives. So who else do you watch/read/listen to?

So the lies by Alex Jones, Limbaugh and their ilk are okay? Pizzagate style crap - with the potential to get people killled - is "MUCH better?" You are fooling yourself. Mueller has not suddenly proven the righteousness of right-wing media.

Stop just parroting those words because you don’t like what has been written. If you actually read those articles and followed up on the references, a reasonable person could not come to a conclusion that those are fake news. This isn’t Fox News announcing no collusion before Barr’s summary came out.

According to Barr’s letter they defined coordination as follows- The Special Counsel defined “coordination” as an “agreement — tacit or express — between the Trump Campaign and the Russian government on election interference. If you read any of those articles about Russia, the Kremlin/Putin never use direct channels to communicate. It’s done through intermediaries so there is always plausible deniability and no one person could ever know the whole extent of what is going on. Of course there would never be a signed contract between the campaign and Russian government, that was obvious on day 1.

What a lot of people were hoping for is that mueller and his team had way more information than normal folks who read about the investigation and would be able to tie it together. However, to actually prove beyond a reasonable doubt that all of those secret meetings, lying within the campaign, back channel communications with Russian contacts, quid pro quo on sanctions relief for real estate investments will never be 100%.

The GOP: cheering for treason so long as they get that white supremacy.

And if you can’t see the conspiracy between the GOP and Russia, you ain’t lookin’. Enjoy the sweet comforts of supporting corruption and crime, as well as believing that Barr is representing what Mueller said.

I find this infuriating! There is no media source that I feel is trustworthy anymore. And, I think it's terrible because, because isn't a good, solid, free press important for democracy?

Sometimes I'll read a report on CNN and then read FOX's take on it and assume the truth is somewhere in between.

I

So...you're saying Mueller and Co. weren't lookin'?

And, how long do you predict it will take until Mueller steps up and says to Barr, "Wait a minute, big guy. That's not what I said and you know it."

I voted for Hillary last time, but this is my thinking also. Trump's not doing a terrible job, and if is able to do those things, he's got my vote for the next election.
