Because white kids wearing MAGA hats support Trump and must be destroyed. |
| On DCUM I always read various conservative posters claim that we in DC live in a bubble. I would argue there are many bubbles in the US and these boys live in one. I grew up surrounded by reservations in the Southwest. I have interacted with tribal members my entire life. My parents would have been furious if I had acted like those boys, which I would have never done because tribal members were people in my community. This also goes for my Mexican neighbors, who were friends not rapists! I think they is my biggest problem with MAGA folks, their community is limited to white people and everyone else is considered a threat and less than outsiders. They don’t view others as fellow Americans. It’s their bubble. |
The kid didn’t know what to do. He didn’t call the guy names, or spit at him, or do a single physical thing. He didn’t say a single world, yet is modern Hitler brought to life. The old dude is a jerk. Beat your drums in the face of the balck Israelites instead? They are the ones screaming that bloodshed must occur. |
Others’ bad behavior doesn’t provide an excuse for all bad behavior....? |
Her spellchecker wasn't working, it seems. |

He knew exactly what to do - act like a smirking, disrespectful douchebag to impress his bros. If he were Brett Kavanaugh I'm sure it would've merited a calendar notation ("showed Redman who's his boss") |
Are you trying to shame people out of their constitutiuonal right to shame people acting like d!cks? |
is that how you interpret the look on his face? You might want to look into a social skills class, my dear one, if you can't read his face and body language. |

So getting up in a person’s face very closely and chanting inches away and banging a drum just as closely is a polite and respectful religious ceremony?
Absolutely insane. I have never seen a religious person of any stripe practice their religion like that. |
Wow. How dare they?! |
I blame the chaperones, as well. I was very disappointed two years ago when my middle schooler (NoVA public school) went on a field trip to DC and came home telling me that many of his classmates were harassing a large group of kids from another part of the country, also there on a field trip. Many kids were wearing MAGA hats. These local 8th graders were yelling at them, calling them derogatory names from across the street and physically trying to block them when their paths met on a sidewalk. I asked him what the chaperones did and he said they did nothing, but some were sheepishly laughing. Unacceptable and a poor representation of our area. |

It certainly does not help that the government is shut down and there are no park police at work! |
