Democrats offered Trump $25 billion for the wall as recently as last year. He chose to turn them down. No more coddling the orange toddler. |
People are still crossing in those remote areas, even given how dangerous it is. A wall is needed there. |
Even if they flew in mandatory e-verify would prevent them from working. I also support other measures to ensure people here illegally get caught and sent home. No one really has the stones to put in place what needs to be done to get these folks out. But at the very least we need to make sure it isnt easy to be here undocumented. |
+1 this is what Republicans constantly ignore. He was offered what he wants and then some. He’s made many deals over the last two years that he backed down on. He’s agreed to things and changed his mind multiple times in the same week (like the CR right before the shutdown). Republicans call this @sticking it to the libs” but really it’s just dishonest negotiation. At some point people stop believing him. He could have had what he wanted by now but his overriding desire is “I get everything I want, you get nothing you want”. When he says “I’m ready to make a deal”, what he means is, give me everything. You lose. The bozo needs to read up on game theory. |
It's hard to take Trump seriously on illegal immigration when he has no problem bending the rules to suit himself. |
There is no crisis - border apprehensions are at about the same level they were in the early 1970's. Our President is a madman, being enabled by people in his own party who have no interest in doing what is best for our country.
More people - including children - will die at the border. And the longer the government shutdown goes on, the more likely it becomes that some loss of life results from that. I'm just so tired of this. I want my country back. ![]() |
Does e-Verify work if they present forged documents? |
What? I hate stupid people. |
I know the Mueller investigation is funded, but when the courts run out of money and close, will his access to the grand Jury be suspended? So, will he not be able to indict anyone else or act on indictments already filed? |
The shutdown has little to do with security or even campaign promisies. It’s a way for Trump to, once again, control the narrative. He gives a rats ass about anything other than keeping the story on him.
|
Because you would prefer democrats control the narrative: Impeach! Mueller! Russia! |
I would prefer we open the government and pass laws they HELP people. What do you want? You can’t own the libs forever. |
I would prefer they keep the govt closed and pass less laws. We've had 200+ years of government and we have laws running out of our a****. Maybe it's time to take a break from anymore unelected workers imposing more policy, law and paper on us. I don't need Washington DC to run every aspect of my life, unlike you hope for. |
Unelected workers? Was Trump installed by aliens? |
I'm talking about all the federal departments and agencies with lifers installed that churn out policy, guidelines, and reams of bureaucratic BS. |
