You're exactly right. |
Yep. It works. Horrible, horrible! |
Why is there a cap anyway? Is it some law to protect the airline? |
No, probably not even a go for. |
|
There will be a Saturday Night Live skit. Fly the friendly skies indeed. |
Go do your home work. |
Probably a regulation - which some people here think we need more of. |
Not Spirit! I could not get a live person to talk to us. Fucking airlines. |
The $1,350. cap was pushed through by very powerful airline lobbyists. |
Maybe he is trying out his arguements so he can clerk for Neil Gorsuch? |
He missed the whole airport. |
No, airlines have been in a race to the bottom since they were deregulated 35-40 years ago. If they're all going to be bumping people from flights, would you choose the airline that compensates $500 or $5k? |
FYI, the United Airlines CEO is a Democrat.
|
And yet, they still need Fly America. If they're going to keep that, they should be re-regulated. Clearly they can't manage themselves |
This is why it's so disturbing. This is exactly it. An amoral not-human corporation essentially beat up an old guy because he expected to get what he paid for. This wasn't someone getting angry, losing their cool, having an emotional response. This was an officer of the law brutalizing a man because a corporation didn't want to spend more money than it had to, to get its flight crew in place for the next day. This is the biggest part of the problem, and why we should all be horrified and fight back. |
