Abusive and hostile is part of the new definition

All the people gossiping about their colleagues’ sexual activity, whether you believe it to be factual or you're speculating, would be wise to cut it out. According to the law, gossiping about a coworker’s presumed level of sexual activity, or a supervisor gossiping about a subordinate’s sexual activity, or a supervisor failing to shut down gossip about a subordinate’s sexual activity or rumored sexual activity, also can violate Title IX and be considered sexual harassment.

And? That means nothing.

So keep your personal business private. I’ve never seen a bunch of adults that comingle their private and professional lives. Go to work do your job and go home. Colleagues are not your friends. When will mcps employees understand that.

How are our children even being taught properly with this nonsense? Mcps needs to grow up.

No, when people are nasty gossips about others but have no idea what that person actually does in their private lives, that’s on them, not the person they’re gossiping about, who is usually a woman. It only takes one person to get a fake rumor started. That person doesn’t have to socialize outside of work with colleagues to be gossiped about. I’ve worked in enough schools in this county to know that people make stuff up all the time to suit their narrative. They should know they can get sued too.

Not true! No one can gossip about you if you mind your business. Rumors can get shut down if not perpetuated and stopped in their tracks. Stop the happy hours, stop the after work meetups, go home and have a personal life. Rumors begin with someone telling too much of their personal business or from that person acting inappropriately. This is work not home, act accordingly.

Nope. People talk about people for a lot of reasons that have nothing to do with the other person. I've seen it happen. You don't need to do a damn thing other than exist for someone to gossip about you, and that's on them.

Well, she shouldn’t call him “babe” at school if she doesn’t want people to believe or spread rumors about their affair.

My point exactly. It’s amazing how people act so innocent and conduct themselves inappropriately. Calling another woman’s husband babe is out of line and in a professional setting is sick. She deserves all the back lash she gets. You reap what you sow. Buckle up

You think she is calling her new principal babe? NOT

Based on what I've read here, McKngit seems determined to investigate this matter with transparency and integrity and hold those responsible to account.

She is one of those responsible—what is she planning to do to hold herself to account?

That doesn't seem accurate. This was going on long before her tenure. At least she's trying to clean this up unlike her predecessor.

She oversaw this man’s promotion. The buck stops there.

Dammit - we're going to get rid of her one way or another!

It sounds like you're just looking for an excuse to fire McKnight because you simply don't like her.

Sounds like a race war at this point.
