She’s pretty. She reminds me of athlete Marion Jones. |
I’m sort of hate watching too. Lol. I don’t understand the hype but it’s keeping me busy and occupied. |
|
Halfway through the first episode and the makeup artist did such a terrible job with Kate and Edwina! Foundation is caked on and looks so shiny.
Also, Kate’s borderline snippiness with Lady Danbury irritated me. She’s her guest and doesn’t know anything about the ton. She could be more deferential. |
| Just watch Anthony this season. He’s the real gem. The actor is great. |

I just finished the second episode. It's okay, and overall I like the story more than the absurd "I will dramatically pull out of my twelve year old looking bride to stick it to my dead father" thing from last season. But I'm already so TIRED of it. Eloise is a feminist and doesn't want to do any of this. We get it. Kate doesn't approve of Anthony for Edwina. WE GET IT. I don't know if I can stand another six hours of this.
Also, is Kate super tall or is Edwina super short? I know that they share only one parent, but the height differential is ridiculous. Since everyone is so hung up on what they look like, I actually think the moms are the best looking women in the cast. Mrs. Sharma and Mrs. Bridgerton are both really pretty. Kate is stunning with her hair down, but less so with it up, as it just accentuates her size. Is she 6'5" or something, or are all the other actresses tiny? I can't tell. I think the Bridgerton boys A through C are all hot, which is strange because I don't tend to dig white guys. If I keep watching, it'll be for the decor and the cute dog. The dress fabrics are stunning, but A-line dresses do nothing for anyone. |
Had similar questions about Kate’s height so looked it up. The actress is tall. 5’10” |
Agree that the boys are so hot, especially Anthony. He looked like a werewolf last season and this season, wow! |
Okay, I wrote this after finishing Season 1 and watching only 2 episodes of Season 2. I have since devoured it and I will say this second season was far superior. I don’t know if I think it deserves a cult following. However, I appreciated the lack of sex and the fact there was actually more building of the characters this season. I will watch Season 3 because I’m interested in the other siblings. |
| Finished Season 2 and thought it far superior to Season 1. Both were good, but the slow burn chemistry in Season 2 was ridiculously hot. |
Agree Season 2 is better (and I liked Season 1 fine). I think the story was much more interesting and I think the show benefits from a more restrained approach to sex -- there is more dramatic tension because it is more chaste (sorry). Plus I don't have to worry about my neighbors wondering if I'm watching porn when I watch Bridgerton episodes late at night! I also think there was better balance between the primary and secondary storylines this year. Last year I didn't find the secondary storylines memorable at all, and this year I found the stuff with Eloise, Penelope, the rest of the Featheringtons, and the Queen much more compelling. And they did a good job of tying them all in with the core plot line with the Sharmas. Just a better written season overall. |
| I didn't find the sex in Season 1 sexy, to be honest, at least not the Daphne/Simon stuff. I mean one of the sex scenes was an assault and definitely not sexy, but even before then, eh? So I didn't miss those extra sex scenes. |
Ditto this. I love a good sex scene but season 1 was so not sexy. It was just robot or rabbit sex. I much preferred season 2. Anthony is mind-blowingly attractive in my book. Different tastes for different women but he is about as hot as a man can get IMO. |
Ugh I did not like it. They were just like…smelling each other. Weirdly. |
+1 |
He'd kind of start jack hammering her almost immediately. I know it's TV and needs to be condensed but it just felt gross. |
