It is so funny...Pipeline/BA have been bashing ECNL for years and everything it stood for...then they go for DA and it is the best and only pathway for the kids to get into college while still bashing ECNL
How good were the Girls BA teams in the DA...how were their records? Now they are supposedly going to take the girls from BA to Pipeline ECNL to compete against clubs in ECNL Now you see that SQ and SR praising the ECNL and how they have been keeping track of ECNL for 10 years Go check out the clubs that have already committed to Girls Academy League(GAL)...allowing High School Soccer and changing subbing rules...Mid Atlantic is releasing their clubs next week |
If you throw enough darts, ones bound to hit a dartboard No one knew anything 6 months ago, not even 6 weeks ago. Just people talking out of their ass (which was basically this entire thread) When rumors started that the DA was folding, ECNL reached out to Pipeline and other DA clubs. Like mentioned above, smart business moves by ECNL |
The DA clubs that jumped except 1 were all planning on moving to ECNL anyway some as far back as November of last year. Not sure about Penn. This was not the ECNL jumping on a dead horse in the DA's case it was all planned before. DA had been dying since 3 months after the first league games started and the Fist major clubs decided to jump ship. Looking back McClean, Bethesda, Maryland and Richmond were smart to decline original DA offers. I mean look back to when this whole thread started, these clubs all wanted to leave a long time ago. |
| Pipeline naming the ECNL Staff...any word who it might be |
It is pretty much the preacademy coaches from last year. You can see for yourself on their social media pages. |
Any update |

Not impressed for the good ol' boys staff for the Girls ECNL Side
Highest level of these coaches looks like High School and some club experience |
So leave |
total BS. |
+1 |
Yea I guess if you dont count - Santino Quaranta with an A-license, 11+ years in the MLS, a national team player, boys and girls academy team coach Lee Tschantret with an A-license, USA national team coach, boys academy coach, and US futsal national team member. Zack Flores also with an A-license who played professionally in Bolivia. Danny Skelton, B-license who played division 1 college soccer and has coached at the boys and girls academy level Doug Pryor, A-licensed coach. Has placed 200 girls in to college over the past 15 years. Tommy Quaranta National semi-finalist coach with over 20 years of experience Phil Greatwich FA licensed whose team won a national championship Geaton Caltabiano licensed coach who qualified for a national championship Brandon Quaranta c-licensed who has coached 4 national championship winning teams and also places a bunch of players in college - - any higher than “high school or some club soccer experience” then I mean yea, I guess youre right. It’s just a bonus for the players that so many pipeline coaches are connected to high schools in the area. |

What's going on over at Bethesda Soccer lately?
Sounds like they are imploding over there with getting ready to cut more coaches, and board members now running the day to day operations of the club. Families getting the run around about refunds, etc. Can anyone expand? |
They had 6 teams per age group on the boys side and excess staff I don’t think it’s imploding - but definitely right sizing. There is no run around. Many clubs sorting out refunds. Jeff cup technically on and they will likely refund - but amount tbd. Perfect no. Without the executive director (who was non soccer) it would not be unusual for a board to announce changes |
I heard Jeff Cup sent out emails that they will NOT be giving any refunds. They said if teams chose not to participate, there wouldnt be refunds, and if they werent able to play because of the shut downs, there still wouldnt be any refund. Maybe they will offer a credit for next year???? but i wouldnt hold my breath |
There is no refund being given for this tournament. |
