— I can’t even remember them all. This is overwhelming. The lies and drama come out so fast it’s hard to keep
Up.

This is a character and leadership issue. Not a dem/rep issue. It is about national security and the risk he creates in abusing power that has far reaching national and global impacts.

Stealing an election isn’t beneath this person. He’s a true narcissist, gaslighting is the name of his game, and he is abusive in his power. Straight up abusive.

I’m sure there is a list somewhere growing with all the lies this president has told to date.

All while making money hand over fist with some of the best performance the stock market has seen while companies and investors benefitted from his immoral rogue behavior — it allowed an economic edge in various markets for stakeholders willing to turn a blind eye to his immoral and corrupt practices.

I’m a Republican and can’t stand Trump. That’ being said, there is no way the Senate will convict. And then we’ll have a new Teflon Don who will prance around saying that they failed with the Mueller investigation and they failed with the Impeachment. He will most certainly believe he is above the law then....

The American voters will have seen enough to make their decision in time for November 2020. Goodbye GOP. That’s why a lot of republicans hate trump, he has threatened the entire system because he doesn’t follow anyone’s rules, advice.

NY can prosecute him for his state crimes. Florida residency won’t save him. He may not be jailed through impeachment, but judgment is coming. Impeachment is a process that must be respected either way.

I fear that outcome, but what’s the alternative? Ignoring his misdeeds isn’t a good answer either.

I think it’s important that this is all documented, for history’s sake and so the impeachment hearings are necessary. The outcome might not be as desired but standing up against corruption and lies is important on its own right.

I saw the idea, floated on twitter, that the Senate could opt to vote in secret. That tool would be gone so fast his dentures would fall out.

Yep. If every single person in the senate can cast an anonymous vote, Treasonous Trump would be out before the end of the year. Happy holidays!

Majority vote in the Senate makes the rules for the trial so it could be on the table.

Democrats have been talking about impeaching the president ever since he won election - literally before he assumed the Oval office. The Mueller investigation bliew up in their faces. Now they are relying on second hand or third hand evidence to argue that a president should be removed. I seriously doubt that it will fly. Those who support impeachment are partisans.

There is no way that those screaming about impeachment would give any credence to the same evidence if it had been a Democratic president.

All that this has done is to create an environment that will ensure that a Democratic president is impeached by a Republican controlled House using similar flimsy evidence. Unfortunate ..........

Yeah, you guys really set a high bar with impeaching a President for getting a blowjob and lying about it. Oh such simple, pure times.

Wouldn't Senators whose constituents would be angry over an impeachment vote be angry if their Senator refused to proclaim that they vote not to convict?

I'm not seeing this helpful to that many chicken$hit Senators.

The GOP was warned in 2008: revamp your party. You can’t ONLY focus on representing seniors, racists, old white men and bible
Thumpers anymore. Christians are democratic and (gasp!) gay; the line for what’s normalized is changing, there is an untapped Hispanic based Voters want diversity, youth, etc in their representatives. Why not make it the party for small business? Because that’s what it is.

what did the GOP do? Took someone that failed horribly at every business he laid hands on, and endorsed him as a presidential candidate. that literally took every area of gray where the GOP May have been able to get new swing votes (young black republicans, conservative Latina women, etc) and supported conduct from
Trump that directly oppressed or contradicted their interests.

Trumps poor conduct pushed him so far away with those potential swing votes from Women, Hispanics, Military, LGBT, GenX/ Millennials - he has treated them so poorly, now they question a party that could never represent them because of what they stood behind.

I would have voted for McCain for president, IF Obama weren’t on the ticket. I’m a voter that votes depending on the candidate and country need most pressing. I want the person who will be best at addressing the highest priority of our nations current issues for the short time they have in office.

While I’m the past I could have been persuaded, I will never again really trust the GOP to support diverse interests after watching how they let Trump run amuck with senate control, and refused to speak out against him. Even now, retiring and scuttling away knowing inevitable loss is coming, is cowardly.

I attended the hearing in person today.

Devin Nunes is an abomination. A sweaty mess, spewing lies and accusing the Dems of being dramatic while he was the biggest drama queen in the room.

Castor was a dumpster fire with high octane. What are they thinking?

Gym Jordan is the best the R's have, and that's really sad. He needs to get rid of his childish posters framing his seat and find a proper jacket. Watching the lies in person was just so supremely offensive - and Gym the sexual abuse denier needs to RESIGN.

Taylor and Kent were succinct, articulate and strong. NON-PARTISAN!

Schiff, Swalwell, and Castro were top notch. "Is attempted murder a crime?" YES IT IS! AS IS ATTEMPTED BRIBERY!

Signed,
A former R who will never again in my life vote for an R or respect anyone who does. The party is imploding on itself. Quite sad.

So what does the #butheremails crowd have to say about Ambassador Sondland calling the President on a cell phone in the middle of a restaurant in Kyiv and having it loud enough for bystanders to overhear him?
