The brief is tldr but can anyone give us some quotes showing that some folks knew all along and did nothing? Jail indeed!

bump. Please?

It's a public document. Read it yourself.

There's a link in the OP as well, but the tweet linking to it gives a trigger warning for parents and, well, I'm a sensitive parent. So yeah, it's not so much a "too long didn't read" as a "too awful don't wanna."

Those who should have known this guy was a molestor were fired or have left. So you needn't worry.

^^ Um, hardly. There is plenty of blame to go around for those colleagues of his still at LAMB. It's not like the accusations were secret among the staff. He had open supporters.

This is not true. There were people who did not believe the accusations, but not anymore.

Sure, some people who did not believe the accusations were fired, but many other people who did not believe the accusations are still there.

Parents had no input or say in his hiring when we were told that the community would be involved in the hiring process. Sigh

He was abruptly fired this week so who knows what’s going on with the administration

Was the principal involved in the negotiations with the affected families?

No. His firing was unrelated.

Why was he fired?

He was not a good fit.

There have been some updates on the civil case front if you search the DC courts database by company name. Looks like LAMB missed some legal deadlines and lost a few pleas to get the civil case thrown out. Next court appearance in July.

Well, I for one do not want another community like the part of the LAMB community that still exists that refuses to accept that the school royally screwed up and, at best was negligent, and children were irreversibly harmed. What are all you holier than thou LAMB boosters doing about that part of your community?

I am a LAMB parent and parent to a child victim. I was shocked by the fellow parents I knew who declined to sign the petition to the board demanding the board be more transparent post-crisis, investigate, and hold guilty parties accountable- Parents who I thought might care about these things. My faith in humanity suffered greatly (still suffers, actually) during those awful first months. It’s shocking sometimes, the people who fail to rise to the occasion, defend the wounded.

"a neighbor who lived across the street from Defendant LAMB reported to Defendant LAMB that Defendant Fernandez was playing with students during outdoor recess in an inappropriate manner"

Someone from outside the community had to be the first whistleblower?! And they ignored that person. That was in 2014. The school could have avoided all of this. Hats off to the male teacher who knew something was going on and tried and tried to report it.

are the admin who hid this being charged with anything? They are mandated reporters are the not?

was it just two the two victims? I find that part really hard to believe. There are certainly more. There are always more. I just read that report and its so infuriating. several people need to be in jail. I can't believe other parents didnt sign the petition for more transparency. Yall are drinking that LAMB koolaid for sure.

also, I am assuming the school has an insurance policy that would cover this lawsuit? or does this bankrupt the school? where is the charter board in weighing on them staying open.
