Overall I loved it. I’m on the last 10 minutes of the last episode, and I got tired of watching….
And i fell asleep at one point.

I’ve posted on here the things I like about it and I posted on here the things that I don’t like about it.

*Anybody* who only hated it. Or only loved it. Is full of sh.

Exactly. It's like when Gwyneth Paltrow said something to the effect of "I can't pretend to be something I'm not" when people called her pretentious for starting Goop. She was right.

I like Meghan and will be watching this weekend.

Gwyneth Paltrow is also authentic. Meghan is literally constantly pretending to be something she’s not, and seems to think she’s better than everyone else. She is so triggered by someone calling her by her maiden name.

I binged 3 episodes while cleaning my house. It's mindless, escapism background TV. Two thumbs up.

I enjoy insight into who she is and the life she has cultivated. You can tell she's a good mom and she actually likes cooking and homemaking.

Her relationships with "friends" seem stilted and fake. Plus she's boring!

Maybe the criticism is because we expected "more" from her? I don't see any difference between her and Martha, Gwenyth, Ina, etc.

I don't see any "bullying" on here. It's not like people are going after her kids or telling her to off herself. There's an absolute line, but I don't see anyone crossing it.

Plus, even if people are hate watching, a view is a view.

She looks very pretty but it’s a very very high maintained pretty. Like that hair and that very very full face of makeup. It’s too much. And I like Mindy but she looked insane and they clearly don’t know each other very well. Mindy’s makeup was spackled and those eyelashes were mad. It feels like they just don’t know what to do with MM and nothing is working so they were like let’s try this but everything is contrived and awkward. And it’s also condescending AF like I don’t need you ti show me how to make a rainbow fruit platter because I have Pinterest and instagram which is where you got this idea so… WTF. People like her very basic style I guess so maybe she should have done a shopping series. IDK. Girl has no actual personality or talent that’s authentic so it’s really hard to know.

I think she should’ve had the couple of the chefs stay and hang out with the guests.

Velasquez(?) who did the tinga and ceviche.

And Alice waters who helped with the brunch.

Why kick out the people who helped, when they would love to converse with you real guests? And if it really happened off camera.. show it.

I overall loved the show, but this is not a criticism as just something I noticed as a viewer, that I don’t think she / the production team noticed along the way.

I was rooting for Meghan and expecting the worst from the Baldwins, so I was surprised that I had the opposite reaction:

I liked the first 10 min of Meghan’s show, where there was good music playing and the scenery with the bees was lovely. I thought if she stuck to that format, it could be a very relaxing type of show to fold laundry etc. but once she got into the kitchen, it was pretty cringey. Two friends praising each other earnestly isn’t interesting or engaging. She needs a gay assistant or someone more fun/lively to break it the vibe so she doesn’t take herself too seriously. I don’t think I’ll watch another episode.

I thought I would hate the Baldwins/Hilaria, but was actually really fascinated by their life in NYC with 7 kids. They put it all out there, the messiness and chaos, and Alec is just funny with his quips (though he looks utterly exhausted).

Also, the naturalness of Hilaria’s hair/makeup/clothing compared to how made up and stiff Meghan looked was quite jarring.

I will continue to watch the Baldwin show, but I feel bad that I find Meghan’s show unwatchable.

Alec Baldwin is much more likable than Meghan. I think he is a smart and good person who has had some struggles in life which have humbled him and he has grown from.

I wouldn’t want to watch Hilaria or Meghan, but of the two, I prefer Hilaria because even with her grift, she actually seems less full of sh*t than Meghan.

He literally called his own child a pig lol

And yet, he is still more likable than Meghan. Alec is flawed and he is vulnerable about that. He is remorseful about his relationship with his daughter. And more impotently, he doesn’t pretend that his life is rainbow and butterflies and that the world had so much to learn from him - so here, enjoy this gift of a “reality” show he’s giving you. It’s quite the opposite - the world is intrigued by his chaotic life, so he got a contract and since he obviously wants the money, he is monetizing it.

I also like GP bc she is authentic. Multiple times she has said something to the effect of "I can't be someone I am not, I was raised with a lot of money, etc" and this is reflected in her lifestyle business and how she presents herself. And I read/watch and appreciate some of her content bc it comes across as authentic, even if I am not like GP in many ways.

Meghan is just so unlikable bc she is always trying to project an image that seems so at odds with her background. Meghan seems like someone who has always been uncomfortable in her own skin, and I think her very highly groomed look, her clothing choices, and the way she piles on jewelry and has her hair hanging down to cook all reflect her insecurities and her obsession with projecting a certain image. It's just uncomfortable to watch. I can't relax when she is on!

You would think that a site like this one would choose to uplift not tear down another mom no matter how petty or judgemental you are.

I’ve always stayed clear of these H&M threads, now I know why.

I don't know why you think we should uplift someone who ridicules their friends and family on TV.

He doesn’t pretend that his life is rainbow and butterflies because he’s literally murdered someone. Meghan has done nothing of the sort.

Do you hear yourself? Alex Baldwin is giving us the “gift” of a reality show? Babes he kept knocking up his fraud of a wife and now has to pay tuition for 30 kids. That’s why we are getting a reality show.

Anonymous wrote:Meghan revealed that she decided to film With Love, Meghan in a nearby rental to protect her family. She and Prince Harry are parents to two children: 5-year-old Archie Harrison and 3-year-old Lilibet Diana.

“I wanted to protect that safe haven,” she told People in an exclusive interview. “We’re a close-knit family, and I love those moments — putting Lili down for a nap, having lunch together, having sacred time together at the end of the day."

She continued, "Our kitchen is where Mama just cooks for the family, and with a crew of 80-plus people, that’s a lot of people to have in your house!”

While the series’ interior scenes were filmed in the farmhouse, a few scenes showcase the exterior of her Montecito house, including the backyard, chicken coop, and orchard.

Who talks like that about their nuclear family with kids 5 and under? “We’re a close knit family!” It’s strange, tense, and unnatural.

I think she’s trying as carefully as possible to acknowledge that her privilege allows her that slower pace of life, and kind of defending that choice a little bit. The examples she gives (eating lunch together, being the one to put baby down for a nap) are not available to a dual-income family with parents who travel all the time for work and outsource the majority of their childcare (and remember, her foil here is similarly privileged people making a different choice). But no matter what she does, doesn’t do, says, doesn’t say, she’ll get hate.

Okay but that's also what SAHMs have, and they don't call it a "close knit family." It just means you have a lot of time to spend with your kids and you enjoy and appreciate that.

I'm always a little leery when people self proclaim that they are a "close knit" or "tight knit" family.

Wtf lol. You people will find anything to complain about.

You’re such an angry little rube. You’re perfect for Meghan’s tips and tricks.

Wow. You really hate that people don’t agree with you about this. How strange.

I haven’t watched the show but maintain your response is outsized to any perceived offense of Meghan’s.

Sure you haven't. Lol

Never heard her ridicule her family. She called them out for bad behavior, like telling her to get on with it while she was suicidal and pregnant.

I really don’t care that she said curtsying is like going to Medieval Times. Do you?

It was a pretty rude thing to say about meeting your future 90 something year old grandmother-in-law. And Harry looked very uncomfortable bc it WAS uncomfortable. And the way sue addressed Mindy isn't how I would speak to my friend, in public or private. But that's fine if you act like that, just expect it to raise eyebrows.

I’m saying unlike Meghan, he doesn’t act like his reality show is some gift to the world. Meghan is self righteous, and he’s not.
