The candidate running against Trump shouldn’t have had to be likeable or even a particularly good politician. Harris easily clears those hurdles, but at the end of the day there is a non-negligible number of Americans (men AND women) who just cannot bring themselves to vote for a woman.

You also have to have a plan to address these. Trump doesn't really offer anything except "deport people". People care about words only, not actual plans.

Well yeah, we live in a memes-as-policy era. The medium is the message and our medium are incredibly light on substance. Politics is, shockingly, still downstream from culture.

If anyone has a plan to fix this, then maybe we can get back to a government that governs. But neither Rs nor Ds seem particularly interested in doing that, as long as they can all be part of Congress: The Reality TV Show.

Completely agree. Normal people are tired of the woke BS. The reality is a majority of the men identifying as women have a paraphilia and are attracted to women yet the stupid Democrats want them in women’s spaces. Did you call out when the left went off the rails? I did. I posted Bill Maher links in this forum and was called a Maga. I’m not. Far from it. But I saw the writing on the wall and how our messaging was alienating people.

And I’m not going to curl up in a fetal position for the next 4 years. My day job is in the SJW field (law and policy). My spare time will be invested in supporting the next generation of Dems—starting at the local level.
