Why did Kamala lose ?

-because she was a DEI pick and we are all so f-ing sick of DEI picks.

Well she was being burdened by what has not been unburdened. So her campaign wasn’t great in 2020.

The Donald is a celebrity. He ran a TV show called "Celebrity Apprentice."

It's not celebrities endorsements.

Just look at my state, NC. Majority voted for Trump, but then voted in a Democratic governor, Dem attorney general, (likely) Dem lt. governor and Dem state superintendent.

So NC residents said yes to Trump, but resoundingly no to Mark Robinson - a true “Trumper”. Interesting.

They will if the women win primaries before they are set up to win a National election

Anonymous wrote:The easy answer is that she has never previously been tested in a real competitive election so it was nuts to put her up for President without that experience of how to win.

Biden, Obama and Bill Clinton were all battle tested in challenging primaries. They all also had experience winning surprising statewide elections at very young ages.

There is an un-likeability factor about her that is unrelated to her race or gender. This results in a strange outcome where the more people are exposed to her the less they like her.

The reason we know that it’s unrelated to her race and gender is because of 2019 Dem primary polling in her home state of CA followed the same trajectory as the Presidential election this year. Started strong and then faded.

In July 2019 she was in 1st place in California. By October 2019 she was in a very distant 4th polling in single digits behind Warren, Biden and Sanders. So her own homestate Democratic voters who had voted for her already preferred other candidates to her, including 2 out of state Senators with the leading candidate a woman (Warren).

The problem is just Harris.

No, it’s because America is racist, sexist, homophonic, anti-trans, nazi, facial, garbage nation silly.

I voted for Harris and wanted her to win, but I was also prepared for her administration to be a mess and any criticism of that be dismissed as “racist”.

All Karine Jean-Pierre does is gaslight.

“We have to acknowledge that Donald Trump knows our country better than we do”

This was on Morning Joe.

I think that about covers it.

+1 and I’m a woman. I’m relieved this morning. My young daughter and I were watching the results last night on tv. She said it best. “I really don’t like Trump as a person. But I don’t like Harris either and hope she doesn’t win. Trump would be a better president.”

Depressed about result but at least this time I'm not surprised, these are some of the issues the independent people I know have said that are pulling them away from Democrats.

-lenient with illegal immigration
-tremendous impopularity of refugee cities whose budgets have been impacted by dealing with flood of migrants
-emphasis on wokeness, trans issues, DEI (all things that I care about but average person does not)
-perception that Trump will bring more blue collar jobs back home
-tremendous impopularity of Biden
-handling of Israel/Gaza war

+1. And Biden calling people “garbage” a week before the election didn’t help either (though I thought her response and distance to his comments was good).
