Ha, this is perfect and exactly how I feel. I do think Taylor was rude and weird at the Grammys, but I just watch this stuff for entertainment so actually it's fun to me? But yeah, I would not want to actually hang out with her (or probably any of these people!) because she appears to have a huge ego and lack kind of basic self-awareness. I do think other people "play the game" better than she does but I guess her fan base is so large and rabid she may not feel she has to. She might be right! I do love the back and forth on it though.

I think it's kind of weird/interesting that Kelce has been asked to weigh in on Taylor a lot over the last few days while he prepares for the Super Bowl, but she hasn't really mentioned him (or at least not in the stuff I've seen -- the acceptance speeches mostly). It does give the impression of all the energy and focus around them pulling her way, even though obviously he's got some major stuff going on. If the Chiefs win, I wonder if that will continue and I wonder if there will be any blowback. You'd think at some point Kelce or others might be like "uh, this actually is NOT about Taylor." Or not, maybe they like the reflected attention, I don't know!

She released 1989 when they were together and the vault tracks weren’t about him. In fact many of them were about her processing rejection and taking of clothes with other people. Like I think he knows she’s an artist and that’s part of her package. Like if my DH was an artist it comes with the territory I couldn’t be upset if all he made wasn’t happy lovely work all about us. I think he has a maturity about her work that’s highly respectful.

A TV re-release is different from a new album, no? Anyway, I gotta think that by July, the train had left the station with the new album and there was no way to pull it back. I bet that conversation was awkward. I'm not saying he isn't respectful of her work. Just saying that this is the type of stuff he has to deal with.

I mean, even more awkward is the fact that some of the tracks people assume are about Joe are almost definitely about Matt Healy, who she was with right before Travis (and she may even have decided to take Travis up on his overtures on this podcast and elsewhere specifically because she was having a hard time with the breakup with Matt).

I know it burns her soul that her husband signed Rihanna and Rihanna surpassed her as a musician and a mogul and didn’t have to work nearly as hard since childhood to do so. If she’s upset about being snubbed for AOTY all the time, there’s absolutely no way she isn’t upset about Rihanna.

Beyonce like Taylor wants to be seen as nice so badly . She also had her team quickly devise the VMA award speech inclusion of Taylor when Kanye interrupted and she was nervously smiling/laughing . These girls are ego driven monsters with excellent PR teams to make them seem nice and gracious

Agreed. Taylor ignored Celine and then used her for a photo op. That just made it worse.

Remember when Wendy Williams essentially said Beyoncé only had a fifth grade education because her parents worked her so hard that she didn’t have a childhood, wasn’t properly educated, and that’s why she’s not articulate? Spot on.
